Epic HB/PB Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Epic HB/PB Analyst with strong expertise in Epic Resolute Hospital Billing (HB) and/or Professional Billing (PB) to support Epic Revenue Cycle applications.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Epic application configuration, build, testing, implementation, optimization, troubleshooting, and production support. The analyst will work closely with Revenue Cycle, Finance, IT, Billing, Operations, and other business stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective Epic solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, build, maintain, and optimize Epic Resolute Hospital Billing (HB) and Professional Billing (PB) applications.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into Epic application functionality and system configuration.
- Support hospital and professional billing workflows, including charge capture, claims, remittance, reimbursement, billing edits, and work queues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, billing, claims, and workflow issues.
- Perform workflow analysis and recommend process improvements to enhance revenue cycle efficiency.
- Participate in system design, configuration, testing, validation, implementation, and production support.
- Develop and execute unit, integrated, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Participate in Epic upgrades, enhancements, patches, implementations, and optimization initiatives.
- Collaborate with Revenue Cycle, Finance, Billing, IT, Clinical, and operational teams to identify and resolve issues.
- Gather requirements, document workflows, prepare functional specifications, and maintain application/build documentation.
- Support claims processing, reimbursement workflows, charge routing, edits, remittance, and related revenue cycle functionality.
- Investigate production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement appropriate solutions.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and integrated applications when required.
- Assist with go-live activities, post-production support, and stabilization.
- Follow organizational change-management, testing, security, and compliance procedures.
- Provide application support and guidance to end users and business stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working with Epic applications in a healthcare IT environment.
- Hands-on experience with Epic Resolute HB and/or PB.
- Active Epic certification in HB and/or PB is strongly preferred/required depending on the engagement.
- Strong understanding of hospital and/or professional revenue cycle workflows.
- Experience with Epic build, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Strong knowledge of billing, claims, reimbursement, charge capture, and revenue cycle processes.
- Experience participating in Epic implementations, upgrades, enhancements, or optimization projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
This is a remote position.
Compensation: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
