Epic Professional Billing Analyst

Epic Resolute Professional Billing Analyst (Remote Contract) Position Overview We are seeking an Expert-Level Epic Resolute Professional Billing Analyst to support a mature Professional Billing environment with a strong focus on PB Claims, Charge Router optimization, and ongoing system enhancements . This resource will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing an established Epic Professional Billing platform while supporting regulatory initiatives, operational improvements, and project-driven build activities. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Epic Professional Billing, be certified in both Professional Billing Administration and Charge Router , and have extensive experience with PB Claims build and support . This individual must be comfortable working independently, collaborating with operational stakeholders, and leading projects from requirements gathering through implementation and testing. Required Qualifications Epic Resolute Professional Billing Administration Certification (Required) Epic Charge Router Certification (Required) Strong hands-on Professional Billing Claims experience (Required) 5+ years of Epic Professional Billing analyst experience Experience with Epic Claims build, configuration, and optimization Experience supporting charge router maintenance, rule creation, and workflow enhancements Strong understanding of claim processing, reimbursement workflows, and billing operations Experience working with system upgrades, testing, and production support Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills Ability to lead discussions with operational and technical stakeholders Key Responsibilities Maintain and optimize Epic Professional Billing workflows and configurations Design, build, and support Charge Router rules and automations Perform claims-related build activities, including: Claims rule updates Claim edit configuration Automation setup CDF maintenance Payer build updates Review and implement regulatory and operational requirements within Epic Support new workflow development and system optimization initiatives Investigate and resolve system issues, billing discrepancies, and claim-related concerns Manage incoming tickets, enhancement requests, and maintenance work Participate in project work including: Requirements gathering Solution design Build and configuration Testing and validation Go-live support Maintain detailed documentation of system build, workflows, and change management activities Monitor project backlog and update work items within JIRA Partner with operational leaders and end users to improve billing efficiency and effectiveness Support Epic upgrade activities and post-upgrade validation Preferred Qualifications Resolute Professional Billing Claims Certification Electronic Remittance Administration experience Experience supporting large healthcare organizations with mature Professional Billing environments Strong understanding of revenue cycle operations and claims management processes Experience implementing regulatory-driven Epic PB enhancements Prior experience working in a fast-paced project and support environment Technical Skills Epic Resolute Professional Billing Epic Professional Billing Administration Epic Charge Router PB Claims Build Claims Automation Electronic Remittance CDF Configuration Payer Build Revenue Cycle Workflow Optimization JIRA System Testing & Validation Build Documentation Production Support Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a highly experienced Epic Professional Billing Analyst who combines strong technical build expertise with a deep understanding of claims management and revenue cycle operations. They will have proven experience optimizing Charge Router workflows, configuring PB Claims functionality, supporting complex billing initiatives, and collaborating closely with operational teams to deliver scalable solutions. Required Certifications: Epic Professional Billing Administration & Epic Charge Router Required Experience: Professional Billing Claims Build and Support Experience Level: Expert Start Date: Targeted for Late October Primary Focus: Charge Router Optimization, PB Claims, Workflow Enhancements, System Maintenance, Regulatory Projects, and Build Activities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Oakland, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $90.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
