EQ Intern - creative, design and content

Butterfly Effect · UK· January 2027 · 6-month internship

Project Cocoon is our six-month internship programme. Real client work from day one, a dedicated captain invested in your development, and a clear decision on what comes next.

You build content people stop for. Right now, you're making it for yourself, your mates, a brand you love, or an audience you've built from nothing. We want you making it for us. You bring ideas, instinct, taste and a body of work that shows us what you're capable of. We bring the platform, the people and the opportunity to take it further.

At Butterfly Effect, we believe bold creativity transforms communities and brands alike. We are a creative house of community builders, conversation drivers and chaos-makers.

Our mission is to harness the power of culture, creativity and strategic insight to elevate brands, shape conversations and spark lasting impact.

What you'll be doing

This person owns how Butterfly Effect shows up in the world. If we are an agency that tells brands how to build culture, our own brand has to be the proof.

  • Making content for Butterfly Effect's own channels, concepts, scripts, shoots, edits, posts

  • Shaping creator briefs and campaign ideas for client work, and being in the room when they are picked apart

  • Design work that goes out the door: decks, social assets, event collateral

  • Bringing ideas nobody asked for, and defending them

Who you are

We hire for six things, and we look for proof rather than promises.

  • Ambitious. You have a goal and you're already moving towards it. A side project, an audience, something you've built.

  • Competitive. You set high standards for yourself, measure your progress and constantly look for ways to get better.

  • Durable. You've faced setbacks and carried on. Feedback sharpens you rather than flattens you.

  • Heart of gold. You help people with nothing in it for you. This one is non-negotiable.

  • Fresh thinking. You question how things have always been done and have a point of view on what good looks like.

  • Tech-inclined. You experiment with AI and new tools regularly, and use them to work smarter and create better things.

What you'll need

  • Work you can show us. Personal projects, a channel you run, client work or coursework. We don't mind where it came from, only whether it's good.

  • A point of view on culture and content: what's working, what's tired and why.

  • Experience using AI tools in your creative process, and the ability to explain how you use them.

  • A commitment to the full six months from January 2027 and the right to work in the UK.
