Vice President - Equities Strategic Initiatives & Transformation

Equities Division is seeking a highly motivated program management professional to support the delivery of strategic initiatives and business transformation across the franchise. The role will drive execution of key business priorities, coordinate complex cross-functional programs, and help identify opportunities to improve productivity, scalability, and operational efficiency.

The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across Front Office, Risk, Operations, Finance, Compliance, Technology, and external partners to deliver strategic initiatives and drive business outcomes. The role will help translate strategic objectives into executable activities, coordinate cross-functional efforts, and support the Equities transformation agenda through process improvement, automation, AI adoption, and operating model enhancements.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Program Delivery (Approx. 80%)

  • Drive execution of strategic Equities programs (e.g., New Product Approval and trading system migrations) across Structured Equity Financing, Derivatives, and broader Equities businesses.
  • Develop and manage program plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, weekly governance & status reporting, and stakeholder communications.
  • Proactively drive program execution, resolve issues, and manage risks to ensure initiatives are delivered on time within scope and budget, and with the intended business benefits realized.
  • Partner with Trading desks and downstream business stakeholders to develop Business Requirements Documents and work closely with Technology stakeholders to translate the requirements to actionable roadmaps and deliverable outcomes.
  • Challenge assumptions and ask insightful questions to identify root causes and drive effective problem-solving.

Business Transformation (Approx. 20%)

  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify and drive opportunities to automate or optimize workflow with AI, RPA, Data Analytics across the Equities franchise.
  • Evaluate and prioritize automation opportunities based on business impact, return on investment, feasibility, and risk and control considerations, and track benefits against agreed KPIs.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to develop and implement automation solutions
  • Establish a pipeline of automation and transformation initiatives aligned to Equities strategic objectives.
  • Support AI and automation initiatives that improve front-office productivity, client servicing, workflow efficiency, and scalability.

Qualifications


  • 5 - 10 years of experience in program management, business transformation, or COO functions.
  • Proven track record delivering end-to-end Sales & Trading programs working with Front Office, Operations, Risk, Finance, Compliance, Technology, and Control stakeholders.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to independently drive outcomes, navigate ambiguity, influence stakeholders, and deliver results across complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Program Management:
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent strategic programs in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, including planning, execution, and governance
    • Hands-on experience developing business requirements documents (BRDs), program timeline, RACI matrices, budgets, and status reporting dashboards/decks
    • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to develop consensus and influence outcomes across senior stakeholder groups.
    • Ability to balance competing priorities, challenge assumptions constructively, and drive effective decision-making in complex environments.
  • Transformation:
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify problems or opportunities, and translate insights into prioritized, actionable initiatives.
    • Experience delivering automation and workflow optimization initiatives, including AI, RPA, and data analytics solutions, with a strong control mindset.
    • Working knowledge of AI and automation technologies; Proficiency in SQL, Python, or similar tools is a plus.
    • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and critical thinking, challenging assumptions to identify root causes and drive effective solutions.
  • This position requires a minimum in-office presence of 80% per month

The expected base salary ranges from $150,000- $200,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
