Socomec Group (Socomec) is a global leader in electrical equipment engineering and manufacturing, specialized in low voltage energy performance.
Socomec North America (NAM) is Socomec’s organization overseeing all operations in North America.
About This Role
The ERP Business Analyst will play a key role in improving and supporting the company’s business processes through the ERP system. This position focuses primarily on understanding business needs and optimizing how they interact with the ERP: gathering requirements, configuring modules, documenting workflows, and providing end-user support and training. The ideal candidate will be business-oriented, proactive in process improvement, and able to translate functional requirements into effective system solutions. Technical knowledge may be useful for data analysis and customization (SQL Databases, API’s, SaaS), but the emphasis is on functional expertise and collaboration with business teams.
We're growing! As part of our continued investment in business systems and process improvement, we're expanding the team and hiring for two ERP Business Analyst opportunities. We have one permanent full-time position and one 12-month contract role with the potential to convert to a permanent position based on business needs and performance. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative environment where you'll play a key role in optimizing business processes and driving ERP excellence.
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
- User Support & Issue Resolution
Serve as a primary point of contact for end-user support. Troubleshoot and resolve functional ERP issues, escalate technical matters when needed, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. - Business Process Analysis & Improvement

Configure and maintain ERP modules according to business requirements and best practices. Ensure changes are properly tested, documented, and communicated to users. - Requirements Gathering & Documentation
Work with business users to gather requirements for system enhancements, new modules, or integrations. Translate business needs into functional specifications and ensure clear documentation for both users and technical teams. - Data Analysis & Reporting
Extract, manipulate, and analyze ERP data using SQL. Develop and maintain ad-hoc queries to support business decision-making and operational transparency. - Testing & Quality Assurance
Create and execute test plans for upgrades, patches, and system changes. Support users during UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ensure high-quality deployments with minimal disruption. - Collaboration with Technical Teams
Work closely with IT and external vendors on complex technical issues, integrations, and custom development. Assist in translating functional needs into technical tasks and validating delivered solutions.
