Job Description:
Essential Function
The ERP Implementation Program Manager is responsible for the overall planning, governance, coordination, and successful deployment of enterprise resource planning capabilities for the Silfex India greenfield manufacturing facility. The role serves as the business and technology program leader responsible for integrating operational, functional, digital, and organizational-readiness workstreams into a single program roadmap and execution plan.
The position is part of the Silfex Information Technology organization and reports to the IT Director. The role partners closely with the overall India Program Manager, functional leaders, business subject matter experts, the Silfex ERP functional and technical teams, Lam digital organizations, platform teams, and external implementation partners.
The role requires broad experience deploying ERP solutions in manufacturing environments and expanding business systems into new geographies. Plex experience is beneficial but is not the primary selection criterion. The successful candidate must be able to lead the program across the current Plex environment while supporting a scalable roadmap toward future digital-core platforms and ensuring that platform-specific technical expertise remains appropriately owned by the supporting technical and functional teams.
Essential Requirements
Program Leadership and Governance
· Serve as the ERP program leader for the India greenfield deployment, accountable for integrated planning, governance, execution coordination, and business readiness.
· Build and maintain the integrated program roadmap across business, operational, functional, data, infrastructure, application, testing, training, deployment, and stabilization workstreams.
· Establish governance, decision rights, communication plans, escalation pathways, performance reporting, and executive-review mechanisms.
· Partner with the overall India Program Manager to align ERP milestones, site ramp requirements, operational readiness, and interdependent program activities.
· Coordinate the work of the ERP program manager, Silfex functional and technical leads, Lam digital teams, platform specialists, and external partners without replacing their platform-specific accountabilities.
· Drive accountability across workstreams and ensure timely resolution or escalation of cross-functional decisions, risks, resource constraints, and dependencies.
Program Planning and Execution
· Develop and maintain an integrated master schedule covering business-process design, requirements, configuration, infrastructure, data, integrations, testing, training, standard work, organizational readiness, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.
· Manage program scope, budget, schedule, resources, assumptions, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, changes, and deliverables.
· Coordinate dependencies among business functions, Silfex IT, Lam digital teams, platform teams, the overall India program, and external implementation partners.
· Monitor performance against approved milestones and implement recovery plans when workstreams fall behind plan.
· Prepare concise executive dashboards, steering-committee materials, decision requests, and status communications.
· Ensure program closeout, lessons learned, benefits validation, knowledge transfer, and transition to steady-state ownership.
Business Process and Functional Readiness
· Lead cross-functional planning with business subject matter experts representing the functions affected by the ERP implementation.
· Ensure functional teams define, document, approve, and own business requirements, future-state processes, controls, testing, training, standard work, and readiness activities.
· Facilitate workshops to challenge current practices, define scalable future-state processes, and align operating requirements with the India business model.
· Partner with Operations, Continuous Improvement, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, Human Resources, Engineering, and Information Technology to optimize end-to-end workflows.
· Ensure process decisions and system requirements support manufacturing startup, operational excellence, compliance, scalability, and long-term growth.
· Drive alignment across functions and resolve conflicts that affect process integration or deployment readiness.
ERP and Digital-Core Alignment
· Lead the implementation program across the current Plex ERP environment while maintaining an enterprise perspective that is not dependent on a single platform.
· Ensure requirements, process designs, data structures, integrations, controls, and deployment decisions consider future alignment with the planned digital core, including SAP S/4, OpsCenter, Teamcenter, and related enterprise technologies.
· Partner with platform technical leads and functional business systems teams to evaluate solution options, challenge constraints, and determine appropriate business, configuration, integration, or process responses.
· Ensure deep platform configuration and technical design remain owned by designated technical teams while the program manager maintains integrated accountability for outcomes, milestones, and cross-functional coordination.
· Assess implications of deploying ERP capabilities into a new geography, including localization, regulatory, data, operating-model, support, and organizational-readiness requirements.
· Develop a deployment approach that supports both successful India startup and future ERP platform evolution.
Testing, Training, Deployment, and Stabilization
· Coordinate the overall testing strategy and integrated execution of unit, integration, conference-room pilot, user-acceptance, cutover-validation, and operational-readiness activities.
· Ensure training plans, standard operating procedures, work instructions, job aids, knowledge-transfer materials, and user-support models are developed and executed.
· Lead go-live readiness reviews and ensure entry and exit criteria are defined, measured, and approved.
· Coordinate cutover, go-live, hypercare, issue triage, stabilization, and transition to steady-state support.
· Ensure business continuity risks are identified and mitigated throughout implementation and transition.
Vendor and Partner Management
· Serve as the primary program interface for ERP vendors, system integrators, consultants, and implementation partners.
· Manage vendor deliverables, schedules, commitments, dependencies, performance, and issue resolution against contractual and program expectations.
· Promote a balanced relationship with platform vendors by maintaining constructive partnership while advocating for required business capabilities and thoroughly evaluating alternatives.
· Coordinate external resources with internal functional, technical, and program teams to ensure clear ownership and effective execution.
Culture
· Display a positive attitude and strong work ethic that reflects the Mission and Core Values of Silfex.
· Create and maintain a culture where workplace safety is part of everything we do. Model and follow company safety policies, report incidents or unsafe conditions immediately, and wear required personal protective equipment.
· Communicate boldly and effectively with empathy and respect to inspire teamwork and collaboration vertically and horizontally within Silfex.
· Apply Lean manufacturing concepts and 5S where applicable. Demonstrate ownership of continuous improvement and maintain organization and cleanliness within the work area.
