The role

AIX Platform Specialist
Are you passionate about working with mission-critical infrastructure environments that support high-impact business operations?
Do you enjoy optimizing platforms, automating tasks, and solving complex
challenges within enterprise systems?
This position promotes the inclusion of people with disabilities. Join a specialized infrastructure and platform services team responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of enterprise environments running on IBM Power Systems.
How a day to day would look like in this role
  • Administer and support IBM AIX environments, ensuring availability, stability, and compliance with operational standards.
  • Administer Logical Partitions (LPARs) and resources within IBM Power Systems environments.
  • Perform operating system patching, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation activities.
  • Monitor platform performance, conduct capacity analysis, and proactively troubleshoot infrastructure issues.

What we need to see from you

  • Profesional en ingeniería de sistemas o carreras afines con experiencia sólida en administración y soporte de entornos IBM AIX.
  • Conocimiento de IBM Power Systems y gestión de LPARs.
  • Entendimiento de conceptos de almacenamiento, entornos SAN, multipathing y administración de volúmenes.
  • Conocimiento en gestión de usuarios, accesos y controles de seguridad en sistemas operativos empresariales.
