Shape safe project delivery across Southern Europe
Would you like to lead a regional project portfolio that supports the green transition? As Head of Project Execution in the Southern Europe Hub, Grid Solutions, you will set direction for safe, timely, high-quality and cost-efficient delivery while working in a global company on a growing portfolio of energy infrastructure projects.
Set direction for regional project execution
You will hold end-to-end accountability for project execution across the Southern Europe Hub. The position covers portfolio performance, governance, commercial outcomes, HSE, customer commitments and development of project and site management capabilities. You will coordinate priorities with resource management, sales, supply chain, finance, quality and HSE functions.
Your responsibility will be to:
-
Lead the regional project execution organisation, including project managers, site managers and engineering support.
-
Own portfolio progress, risks, quality, costs, invoicing, cash flow and contractual commitments.
-
Drive project governance, change control, reporting and escalation requirements across the hub.
-
Build safe execution and compliance with HSE, legal, regulatory and site-specific requirements.
-
Secure execution readiness through resource, subcontractor, logistics, tools and equipment planning.
The position belongs to the Southern Europe Hub within Grid Solutions and reports to the VP, Grid Solutions Southern Europe. The location of the position is in Barcelona, Madrid or Porto. Regular site visits and occasional multi-day travel within the region are expected.
Commercially aware project executive with sound judgement
You are structured, decisive and composed when priorities compete or deadlines are tight. You communicate clearly with customers, authorities and senior stakeholders, act with integrity and place safety, quality and compliance at the centre of decisions. You also create clarity for teams and support capability development across project and site functions.
You also have:
-
10+ years of project execution experience, including 5 years within a leadership role, in infrastructure, energy or industrial environments
-
Senior management experience with project managers and site-based organisations.
-
Experience delivering complex projects under contractual, financial and regulatory constraints.
-
Knowledge of project governance, financial steering, risk management and stakeholder engagement.
-
Relevant technical or business education, with professional English and a local hub language
