About the Company

Arab Wood Industry LLC (AWI) is a UAE-based company specializing in the manufacturing and installation of custom joinery and interior solutions, including kitchens, wardrobes, vanities, TV cabinets, and other bespoke furniture. We are expanding our team in Egypt and are looking for a skilled Estimator to support our UAE operations remotely.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator with a strong background in joinery and interior fit-out projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing drawings, preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), calculating material and labour costs, and preparing accurate cost estimates and quotations for projects.

The candidate will work remotely from Egypt and coordinate closely with our UAE-based estimation, technical, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings, joinery shop drawings, BOQs, specifications, and tender documents.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and BOQs for kitchens, wardrobes, vanities, TV cabinets, and custom-made furniture.
• Calculate material quantities, labour costs, hardware, finishes, production, transportation, and installation costs.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates, pricing breakdowns, and commercial quotations for joinery projects.
• Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
• Maintain updated material costs, labour rates, and supplier price databases relevant to the UAE market.
• Coordinate with the UAE-based technical, design, procurement, and project teams to clarify project requirements.
• Identify discrepancies in drawings, missing information, exclusions, and potential cost risks.
• Assist in preparing tender submissions, revised quotations, and variation cost estimates.
• Ensure all estimates are accurate and submitted within project deadlines.
• Maintain proper records of estimates, quotations, and tender submissions.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in joinery estimation, woodworking, or interior fit-out projects.
• Experience with kitchens, wardrobes, cabinets, vanities, and custom joinery is highly preferred.
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
• Good knowledge of MDF, plywood, veneer, laminates, hardware, finishes, and joinery manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of UAE joinery material prices, labour costs, and installation requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD.
• Experience with estimation software is an advantage.
• Good written and spoken English communication skills.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently, coordinate remotely with the UAE team, and meet tight deadlines.

Work Arrangement

• Work Location: Remote – Egypt.
• Working Hours: Must be available during the agreed UAE working hours to coordinate with the UAE team.
• Employment Type: Full-time.
• Reporting To: Management / Estimation Team in the UAE.
• Salary: Based on experience and qualifications.
