Estimating responsibilities are expected to grow as the company takes on more projects.

Subtrade and Supplier Coordination

- Track quote requests, responses, and outstanding items for each project.
- Follow up on pending quotes.
- Confirm subcontractor timelines and enter durations into project schedules.
- Draft clear, professional client messages when needed.
Purchasing and Scheduling
- Draft purchase orders from approved budgets and quotes.
- Prepare preliminary project schedules using previous projects and estimated labor hours.
Team Support
- Support a small team and assist with related tasks as needed.
Requirements
- 3–7 years of estimating experience with a residential general contractor or home builder.
- Experience with residential renovations, new homes, or both.
- A degree or college diploma in architecture, architectural technology, or engineering. Architecture or architectural technology is preferred.
- Ability to understand how building systems and trades connect, including how scope and work sequence affect other trades.
- Experience preparing quantity takeoffs from drawings and photos.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Strong organizational skills and careful attention to detail.
Nice to Have
- Commercial estimating experience in addition to residential work.
- Experience using JobTread, CAD, or Rayon.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace and AI tools.
