EU Proposal Writer & Internship Program Coordinator

Cerca Trova Ltd, a high-technology SME specialising in sensing/instrumentation (IoT/ICT), together with its international education division, Cerca Abroad, is seeking a full-time professional who will support both EU funding proposal development and the coordination of internship programs in Athens, Greece. The role is suited to an individual who combines strong analytical and writing ability with practical organisational skills and enjoys working in a student-facing environment.

Role Responsibilities

EU Proposal Development

• Preparing and contributing to competitive funding proposals (Horizon Europe, LIFE, Interreg, Erasmus+).
• Conducting market, impact, and feasibility analyses to support project concepts.
• Collaborating with technical specialists, academic partners, and industry stakeholders.
• Managing proposal timelines and submissions, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Assessing technical ideas and supporting the formulation of strong project narratives.

Internship Program Coordination

• Overseeing logistics for incoming students, particularly during peak months (May–July).
• Welcoming interns and ensuring a smooth introduction to the program.
• Accompanying groups to host sites and scheduled activities in Athens.
• Addressing issues as they arise, remotely or in person.
• Coordinating with landlords, maintenance teams, and local partners to maintain housing and operational quality.
• Participating in a shift-based schedule, including some weekends and occasional on-call duties.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Min 3 years proven experience in EU proposal writing, ideally with successful Horizon Europe, LIFE, Interreg, or Erasmus+ submissions.
• University degree (or equivalent experience) in a scientific, technical, business, or related field.
• Strong persuasive writing and analytical skills.
• Experience in program coordination, logistics, or student services is highly valued.
• Ability to manage varied tasks independently in a remote-working environment.
• Excellent command of English; knowledge of Greek is considered an asset.
• Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working with international groups.
• Must live in Athens, Greece
