The Role
This is a 9-12 Month FTC.
This is a high impact opportunity to lead strategic, cross-country People & Culture projects and transformation initiatives across Chart’s European region.
Working closely with the VP HR Chart Europe, regional leaders, P&C colleagues and functional stakeholders, you will turn key people priorities into well-governed programmes that deliver measurable outcomes. Your portfolio will span organisational transformation, people strategy, operational excellence, acquisition integration, employee experience and change adoption.
You will bring structure to complex work, connect stakeholders across countries and functions, and ensure initiatives are delivered with pace, clarity and alignment to business needs.
About Us
Chart Industries is a leading global manufacturer of highly engineered equipment serving clean energy and industrial gas applications. Recognised for its innovative edge and broad portfolio, Chart holds leadership positions across process technologies supporting hydrogen, carbon capture, energy recovery, nuclear, water treatment, mining and LNG.
In 2023, Chart acquired Howden, a global engineering business with a heritage dating back to 1854. Howden provides mission-critical air and gas handling products, including highly engineered compressors, blowers, fans, steam turbines and rotary heat exchangers.
Together, Chart and Howden are expanding solutions across the Nexus of Clean™: clean power, clean water, clean food and clean industrials. You will join a business with a clear purpose, helping customers improve efficiency, decarbonise operations and address some of the world’s most pressing challenges.
In July 2026, Chart Industries became part of Baker Hughes, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our business. We are currently progressing through the integration, bringing together complementary technologies, capabilities and expertise across energy and industrial markets. This creates a unique opportunity to join the organisation during a significant period of transformation, helping shape how we work together and supporting the delivery of greater value for our customers.
The acquisition completed on 16 July 2026, and Chart now operates as a business segment within Baker Hughes while the integration continues.
What Will You Do?

Your Experience Should Be
- Significant experience leading complex HR or P&C projects, transformation programmes and organisational change in a multinational environment.
- A strong track record of delivering large-scale, multi-country people initiatives involving senior leaders and varied stakeholder groups.
- Excellent project management capability across planning, governance, resource management, risk, budgets, interdependencies and benefits tracking.
- Broad understanding of people processes, with experience of areas such as organisational development, strategic workforce planning, talent, reward, engagement or HR operating-model improvement.
- Confident influencing, challenging and engaging senior stakeholders in a complex, matrixed organisation, including facilitating workshops and leadership sessions.
- Strong change management, analytical and communication skills, with fluent written and verbal English and the ability to travel across Europe when required.
We’ve put together some criteria that we think are important for this role, but don’t worry if your experience and expertise are not an exact match. If you feel you can add value to this opportunity and to Howden more broadly, we would welcome your application and be eager to learn more about you.
