An exciting opportunity to join the team at Dear Community!

For those who don’t know, I founded Dear Community in 2022 with one simple mission: to help women across New Zealand make meaningful friendships and feel a sense of belonging.

Fast-forward four years, and we’re now hosting around 30 events every month across New Zealand, working with some incredible brands and bringing thousands of women together through shared experiences.

And now, we’re looking for someone pretty special to join our team!

We’re hiring an Auckland-based Events & Partnerships Manager to help lead the next chapter of Dear Community.

This is a hands-on role for someone who LOVES bringing events to life, building relationships with brands, managing multiple projects and creating experiences that people remember.

You’ll be responsible for everything from planning and executing events across New Zealand to developing brand partnerships, managing sponsorships and supporting our incredible team of volunteer leaders.

A few things we’re looking for:

* A minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in events management

* Proven experience independently managing events from concept through to execution

* Strong relationship-building, sponsorship and partnership skills

* Someone who is exceptionally organised, proactive and confident taking ownership

* Auckland-based, with flexibility to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends

The details:

📍 Auckland-based, hybrid working arrangement

⏰ Approximately 35 -40 hours per week

💻 Independent contractor position

This is a significant role within our small but mighty charity, so we’re looking for someone with established industry experience who can hit the ground running.
