Join our Events Team and help create memorable fundraising events that make a real difference for sick children and their families.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and organised Events Fundraiser to support the delivery and growth of our exciting events programme. From Wallace & Gromit-themed events and charity challenges to third-party fundraising events, you’ll work closely with supporters, helping them feel valued and inspired while building lasting relationships and delivering exceptional experiences.
Hours: Permanent, Full Time. Office-based with potential for hybrid working
Location: 30-32 Upper Maudlin Street, Bristol BS2 8DJ
Salary: £26,500 to £28,000 DOE
Closing date: midnight Wednesday 4 November 2026
About us:
For over 30 years, Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal has helped to transform children’s healthcare in Bristol, funding pioneering treatment, facilities and research at Bristol Children’s Hospital and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St Michael’s Hospital.
By uniting philanthropy with world-class medicine, the charity enables clinicians to deliver exceptional care and improve outcomes for babies and children across the South-West and beyond. Alongside this, we operate three family accommodation houses, giving parents and families somewhere to stay close by, where we can support them during their child’s stay in hospital. Our long-standing partnership with Aardman underpins the charity’s national profile and reach.
Our 13-strong fundraising team works across five specialist areas, covering corporate partnerships, community fundraising, events, individual giving and philanthropy. This role sits within the Events Fundraising Team, working alongside the Events Manager and in close collaboration with the wider fundraising team.
This exciting role is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring and multi-talented individual looking to develop their career in a fast-paced and ambitious charity. You’ll need great organisation skills to manage multiple activities, strong written communications skills and you will also be a talented and highly motivated team player. You will have the ability to look after our amazing supporters, and you will have an events or fundraising background.
The successful applicant will work closely with the Events Manager to ensure that the events programme expands and grows from strength to strength. Your warm personality will enable you to engage, motivate and influence a wide range of people, including members of the public and key stakeholders. Enthusiasm, initiative and energy are important attributes of The Grand Appeal’s team members.
The successful applicant will help organise and resource the charity’s events fundraising portfolio and steward participants to generate income. As an example, our current portfolio includes Wallace & Gromit themed events such as Wrong Trousers Day, charity led challenge events such as Grand Walk as well as third-party challenge events such as skydiving and half marathons. You will also help deliver key stewardship events, working alongside the Corporate and Philanthropy teams. If you are motivated by purpose, value and integrity, and want your work to have real-world impact, we would love to hear from you. The role holder will be required to complete a DBS disclosure check.
