The Marketing Events Manager will play a key role in ensuring that ADAC is recognized as the premier design resource center in our 10-state region that leads the industry in facilitating relationships between allied organizations, designers, showrooms, and their clients, by being inclusive, experiential, and educational. Responsibilities will include planning and execution of local and regional events and sponsorships. The ideal candidate should excel in building and nurturing relationships with both internal and external partners and must demonstrate strong skills in managing multiple events concurrently while maintaining excellent time management. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Plan, manage and execute all events locally and within the 10-state region, excluding major market events and defined signature regional sponsorships. Serve as the main point of contact for ADAC tenants concerning local and regional events, sponsorships, and initiatives. Collaborate with the marketing team to cultivate relationships, enhance partnerships, and develop educational and experiential programming with allied organizations, media, PR, and prospective designers. Coordinate every aspect of event planning, promotion, execution, and post-event activities in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Tasks involve negotiating and executing contracts, gathering promotional assets, arranging entertainment and guest speakers itineraries, securing venues, overseeing décor, organizing food and beverage, coordinating signage, managing invitation lists, and addressing audio/visual requirements. Negotiate and finalize all aspects of partnership agreements for events and sponsorships. Ensure promotional efforts align with partnership goals and surpass all contractual obligations. Ensure all events are managed within defined budget parameters. Oversee event follow-up and coordinate closure activities, which include conducting surveys, collecting attendee contact details, scheduling follow-up meetings with partners as necessary, and ensuring timely final payments. Work closely with the communications manager and graphic designer to create impactful event promotions. Ensure all local and regional contacts are updated in the CRM tool and email platforms post events. Manage inventory of marketing collateral and event supplies. Develop and maintain targeted local and regional mailing lists of top designers for event promotion. JOB REQUIREMENTS A bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Marketing, Promotions, Event Planning, Communications, or Business, coupled with 3-5 years of relevant experience in event planning or a related field. Experience in the interior design industry is advantageous but not mandatory. Candidate must possess flexibility and initiative, be attentive to details, and have the ability to produce results while managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment. Must be passionate about event planning, creative thinking, problem-solving and project management. An interest in interior design is strongly recommended. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required. Must project a professional image and ability to deal with customer’s questions and complaints in a courteous manner. Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross channel / cross departmentally as well as with all levels of the organization Some travel will be required as well as flexibility to amend standard work hours to work occasional evening and/or weekend during major special events. Ability to lift approximately 20 - 30 lbs.
