🚛 About Qargo

Qargo is a cloud-based (SaaS) Transport Management Platform. We are a scale-up based in Ghent, London and Chicago, and are rapidly expanding across Europe, the UK and the US. The platform is an ‘all-in-one system’, handling everything from initial order entry to final invoicing. It optimises planning and has built-in AI features that automate lengthy manual tasks. Qargo is designed to help modern logistics operations run more efficiently, while increasing profitability and sustainability.

To support our growth, we’re looking for an Events Manager to join our commercial team in Ghent, Belgium. You’ll take full ownership of Qargo’s events across multiple regions and lead and coach a team of two regional Events Coordinators — one based in Ghent covering our EU markets, and one covering the UK & Ireland. You’ll also personally drive our events presence in France, while ensuring a consistent and scalable approach as we grow.

💼 About the Role

As our Events Manager, you’ll own Qargo’s events programme from A to Z, covering 50+ events per year across Europe, the UK and the US.

You’ll lead the planning and execution of trade shows, conferences, customer and partner events, webinars and roadshows. You’ll work closely with Sales, Marketing and Customer Success to make sure our events support our commercial goals.

This is a hands-on role with plenty of autonomy, responsibility and travel. You’ll also coach and coordinate our Events team consisting of 2 people, helping to build a scalable way of working across our different markets.

⭐ Key responsibilities

  • Own Qargo’s annual events programme across Europe, the UK and US, coordinating 50+ events per year and balancing multiple priorities, deadlines and stakeholders.

  • Build and grow Qargo’s events presence in France, working closely with the French Sales team to identify the right events, execute them effectively and turn them into pipeline.

  • Own events end-to-end, from planning, budgeting and supplier management through to execution, lead capture, follow-up and ROI. This includes coordinating travel, accommodation, stand builds, catering, merchandise and other logistics.

  • Lead event execution on the ground, travelling regularly across Europe and occasionally further afield, while ensuring a consistent experience and way of working across regions.

  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing and technology partners on event promotion, lead generation, webinars and joint activations — from shared stands and sessions to partner materials, VIP dinners and online events hosted via Zoom.

  • Lead and coach our Events Coordinators, aligning ways of working across regions and continuously improving our event processes, playbooks and operations.

  • Track budgets, performance and ROI across the events programme, ensuring accurate lead and data capture in HubSpot and providing clear visibility on results and opportunities for improvement.
