Sompo has a unique opportunity for an Executive Assistant to support the General Counsel.
The Executive Assistant serves as a trusted partner to the General Counsel, providing high-level administrative, logistical, and operational support. This role is instrumental in managing executive priorities, coordinating complex scheduling and travel, preparing professional materials, and ensuring the efficient execution of business activities. Success in this position requires sound judgment, strong attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
This role will report directly to the General Counsel and will provide administrative support to the General Counsel, the Chief Compliance Officer and their teams.

Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Provide high-level administrative support to senior executives, helping to manage priorities, optimize time, and enable effective decision-making.
- Oversee complex calendar management across multiple stakeholders, time zones, and shifting business priorities.
- Coordinate end-to-end logistics for meetings, board-related activities, leadership sessions, client engagements, and virtual events.
- Prepare polished presentations, reports, agendas, briefing documents, and other materials for executive and external audiences.
- Manage travel planning and related logistics, including itineraries, accommodations, transportation, and visa requirements.
- Monitor deadlines, track action items, and follow up on outstanding deliverables to support seamless execution.
- Process expense reports and maintain accurate administrative records and reference materials.
- Maintain organizational charts, team contacts, and reporting documents to support business operations.
- Create and update spreadsheets, reports, and presentation materials with accuracy and professionalism.
- Serve as a trusted cross-functional partner, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination.
- Support special projects and contribute to continuous improvement of executive support processes and team operations.

Skills and Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience supporting C-suite or senior executive leadership in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgment, and adapt quickly in a dynamic business setting.
- Exceptional organizational, planning, and time-management skills, with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and confidently with senior stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build effective working relationships across teams and functions.
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and integrity in handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Proactive, resourceful, and self-directed, with the ability to anticipate needs and take initiative.
- Strong digital and technical proficiency, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Experience supporting travel, expense management, meeting coordination, and executive communications.
- Familiarity with tools such as Concur, Workday, and collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams or Zoom is preferred.
- Paralegal training, certification, or experience is a plus, but not required.
Salary Range: $60,000– $125,000 - Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.
