Mō te tūnga | About the role
Tamariki & Whānau Services are responsible for supporting some of the most vulnerable young people in Aotearoa. Working at the heart of a fast-paced and operationally focused leadership team, you'll provide high-quality executive support that helps our leaders focus on what matters most.
This is more than a traditional EA role. You'll be a trusted partner, managing complex diaries, coordinating meetings and events, arranging travel, preparing reports and presentations, handling sensitive information, and acting as a key point of contact for a wide range of stakeholders. You'll need to think ahead, anticipate issues before they arise, and keep things running smoothly when priorities inevitably shift.
Hybrid working arrangements are available; however, due to the collaborative and responsive nature of the role, regular attendance in our Wellington office will be important
Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring
Key requirements of the role include:
- Proven experience providing executive support to senior leaders in a busy environment.
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong relationship-building skills and sound judgement when engaging with stakeholders.
- Experience coordinating meetings, events, travel, and administrative processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A high level of discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Confidence working in ambiguous and constantly changing environments.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and solve problems proactively.
- Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices, in particular knowledge of tikanga Māori and Pacific peoples' culture.
