What you’ll do

- Deliver at least one 60–90 minute coaching session per month, mostly virtual, with extra sessions during time-sensitive matters
- Be available for brief consultations between sessions
- Coach on leadership strategy, board governance and relationships, leading college presidents and the executive team, change leadership, strategic communications, and conflict navigation
- Support the chancellor in setting and tracking at least two annual leadership-development goals
- With the chancellor’s permission, hold confidential conversations with board members, college presidents, and senior leaders
- Observe selected board, presidents’ council, and cabinet meetings
- Make up to two onsite visits per year in the Denver metro area
- Take part in a six-month progress review, and help the chancellor prepare an annual coaching-impact reflection

- At least three years of individualized executive coaching or formal mentoring of sitting community college presidents, system chancellors, or comparable public chief executives who report to a governing board
- Experience supporting a chief executive through leadership transition, organizational transformation, governance complexity, or significant institutional change
Preferred
- Community college system experience
- Coaching credential (ICF ACC, PCC, or MCC, or equivalent)
- Familiarity with Colorado higher education or state-system governance
