Position Summary
Contributes to top-level decision making and leadership on Business Compliance strategies. Develops a team with specialized expertise in compliance, health insurance business, analytical, and communication skills. Establishes policies and procedures to support and manage compliance strategies, implement requirements of new laws and regulations, promote compliant behavior, mitigate compliance risks, and meet regulatory obligations.


Major Responsibilities

  • Be the compliance lead for the assigned business segment(s) in implementing solutions, with applicable business partners, to comply with the requirements of new laws and regulations.
  • Partner with assigned business areas to provide overall compliance support and direction.
  • Direct the implementation of mitigation plans and monitor business segment compliance with any external regulatory findings.
  • Communicates strategically across the organization to drive decision-making and influence ethical and compliant outcomes throughout all organizational levels.
  • Contributes to planning and administration of company programs and initiatives that promote the Corporate Compliance area's agenda.
  • Implements organizational policies, goals, and objectives based on best practices in the field.
  • Ensure process to track, monitor and validate corrective action plans.
  • Supports cross-functional areas to respond to regulatory requests.
  • Advises on organizational standards for compliance controls to help mitigate regulatory risks.
  • Manages operational aspects of the team and implements workforce and succession plans to meet business needs.
  • Support business initiatives and compliance related inquiries.
  • Manage the review of new mandates (laws and regulations) and coordinate with Legal and Regulatory partners to identify applicability to the business segment.
  • Establish working relationships with process owners to drive and implement business practice enhancements to increase the compliance program effectiveness.
  • Actively participate in applicable business working groups/committees for areas of responsibility.
  • Act as a Business Compliance Office lead in Risk Assessments on Subject Matter areas to identify regulatory risks, business controls, and establish Compliance oversight.
  • Partner with the Compliance Center of Excellence team to address and implement solutions with the business for Global and High-Risk findings.
  • Assist with investigations, including interview/fact finding and analysis, presentation of recommendations to executive leadership, and remediation/root cause process enhancements.
  • Represent Compliance Department at various business leadership meetings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Business Compliance experience
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare related compliance risks.
  • Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills.
  • Adept at business intelligence.
  • Adept at collaboration and teamwork.
  • Mastery of problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Mastery of growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in the health insurance business.
  • 10+ years experience leading multiple teams.
  • Preference to candidates located in the northeast.

Education
Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$131,500.00 - $303,195.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
