Position Summary

The Executive Director, Brand Lead, Specialty Psychiatry is responsible for leading the commercialization and management of a portfolio of unique and novel specialty psychiatric therapies in the US. This includes a Phase 3 asset in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), as well as 3 other pipeline assets in various stages of clinical development. This role leads the strategic direction, performance, and lifecycle management of a portfolio of pharmaceutical brands to achieve growth, patient impact, and financial objectives.

The Brand Lead role drives cross-functional alignment across marketing, sales, medical, market access, and operations to develop integrated business plans and execute them to meet P&L goals. Responsible for all pre- and post-launch commercialization responsibilities and P&L ownership. In addition, this role will help steer the global Lifecycle Management plan, portfolio strategy, and launch planning of multiple pipeline assets across potential indications, ensuring alignment with market needs to maximize long-term portfolio value.

The Brand Lead is responsible for all aspects of the brand and supporting integrated commercial strategy for the portfolio, including brand, channel, distribution, pricing, and customer engagement and support. This role directly oversees HCP, consumer, provider account, and site-of-care marketing, ensuring the brand and franchise maximize its impact across all key stakeholders. The individual will lead the development of brand and specialty portfolio strategy, the go-to-market model and strategy, account value proposition, evidence needs, omnichannel marketing initiatives, cross-functional investments and tactics across all channels and customer groups. Serves as the ‘CEO of the Brand’ and overall franchise.

This position requires a strong leader with deep expertise in pharmaceutical marketing, cross-functional collaboration, financial planning, specialty value chain, as well as brand and portfolio management to drive both launch brand performance and future portfolio growth opportunities. The Executive Director will work closely with market access, sales, medical affairs, commercial operations, clinical development, and senior leadership to ensure cross-functional brand and franchise strategic alignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Go-to-Market Model: Develop and implement the overall customer engagement model including all cross-functional field roles, support services, distribution models, virtual tools, and external partnerships for TSND-201 as well as the future specialty portfolio
  • Brand Strategy & Execution: Lead the commercialization strategy for TSND-201, ensuring a competitive and differentiated market position. Ensure strategic alignment of plans across all functions.
  • Specialty Portfolio Strategy: In partnership with key stakeholders, build the future commercial strategies and infrastructure needed to establish and sustain a leading portfolio of specialty psychiatric assets
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with market access, sales, medical, clinical development, communications, finance, and other functions to develop integrated brand strategies, plans, and key initiatives
  • Omnichannel & Customer Engagement: Oversee HCP, provider account, and consumer marketing teams to ensure effective execution of multichannel strategies and personalized engagement content that drive engagement, awareness, and adherence.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead a team of HCP, provider account, and consumer franchise directors/marketers, providing guidance, mentorship, and strategic direction to drive high performance and excellence.
  • Market Insights & Competitive Intelligence: Utilize market research, analytics, and competitive intelligence to build brand strategy and plans, adjust tactics, and stay ahead of evolving industry trends.
  • HCP Marketing Oversight: Ensure that HCP marketing initiatives effectively support brand objectives, including field promotion, digital and non-personal promotion (NPP), speaker programs, KOL and professional engagement, and congress strategies.
  • Consumer Marketing Oversight: Guide the development of consumer-focused strategies, ensuring patient and caregiver awareness, education, and engagement efforts align with overall brand objectives. Ownership of Direct-to-Consumer initiatives and tactics.
  • Provider Account and Site-of-Care Marketing: Build and develop the overall value proposition story for various stakeholders across sites of care, IDNs, and provider accounts, ensuring frameworks for delivery through key account teams to ensure integration of TSND-201 into clinical, economic, and financial workflows. Partner with outside organizations and customers to ensure sufficient long-term capacity for patient treatment and support.
  • Financial & Performance Management: Own the P&L planning and responsibility for TSND-201, ensuring development of robust net sales forecasts, promotional mix optimization, budget planning. Long-term franchise and portfolio valuation. Ensures alignment of investments across functions to brand strategy.
  • Launch Readiness: Oversee the commercialization of TSND-201, ensuring seamless launch execution and long-term growth planning. Owns overall cross-functional launch team and integrated readiness plans across the organization.

Qualifications & Key Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, or a related field; MBA preferred
  • 15+ years of pharmaceutical commercial experience, with a strong background in CNS, neurology, psychiatry, and/or related therapeutic areas and commercial models
  • Experience with provider and site-of-care account marketing, practice economics and reimbursement, specialty buy and bill, operational workflows, and support services for complex high-touch therapeutics are required.
  • Some experience working within a portfolio of related or integrated products in a specific therapeutic area or across indications is desired
  • Proven leadership in brand and portfolio strategy, launch planning, and lifecycle management, with experience managing assets with multiple indications
  • Ability to partner with R&D and Medical Affairs to build short- and long-term integrated evidence plans and strategies to address key market needs and opportunities.
  • Experience leading HCP and consumer marketing functions
  • Experience in developing clinical, economic, and operational value propositions for provider accounts and building site-of-care marketing plans is required
  • Demonstrated ability to lead highly complex brands such as REMS, specialty distribution, buy & bill, new healthcare delivery models, integration into clinical workflows is required
  • Experience in market access, sales, and/or commercial operations highly preferred.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience partnering closely with R&D, Medical, and Global colleagues to build asset differentiation and portfolio strategies
  • Accountable leader with a growth mindset that drives meaningful change and innovation
  • Omnichannel marketing expertise, including digital, non-personal promotion (NPP), and traditional engagement strategies
  • High level of demonstrated financial acumen, with experience in budget management and marketing ROI optimization, along with forecasting and P&L management

  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively with executive leadership, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment, managing multiple priorities and complex brand challenges

Minimum $249,973.00 - Maximum $388,125.00, plus incentive opportunity: The range shown represents a typical pay range or starting pay for individuals who are hired in the role to perform in the United States. Other elements may be used to determine actual pay such as the candidate’s job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in role.
