About us

At Melbourne Business School, our purpose is to unleash ideas and leaders for a sustainable future. Our vision is to be among the top-ranked providers of business education in the Asia-Pacific region and the first choice for students and clients seeking outstanding award and non-award learning experiences.

The opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished, commercially minded Executive MBA Programs Advisor to build and convert a high-quality pipeline for our Executive MBA and Senior Executive MBA programs. This is a high-consideration advisory role for someone who can earn the trust of experienced managers, senior executives, CEOs and organisational sponsors as they evaluate a significant professional and financial decision.

You will own the recruitment journey from first conversation through application, offer acceptance and enrolment. Combining consultative recruitment, executive-level relationship management and corporate business development, you will help prospective candidates identify the program that best aligns with their leadership ambitions, experience and organisational context.

Success in this role means delivering strong enrolment and conversion outcomes while creating a premium candidate experience, safeguarding admissions integrity and strengthening the standing of MBS in the executive education market.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment pipeline for the Executive MBA and Senior Executive MBA programs, from initial engagement to enrolment.

  • Conduct insightful advisory conversations with senior leaders, tailoring your approach to their career goals, organisational priorities and readiness for executive study.

  • Convert inbound interest and create targeted outbound opportunities through phone, email, events, referrals and corporate engagement.

  • Build relationships with senior HR, talent, learning and development, alumni and C-suite stakeholders to generate employer-supported candidates and referrals.

  • Represent MBS at corporate briefings, leadership forums, information sessions and industry events, and deliver compelling presentations to senior audiences.

  • Guide candidates through applications, documentation, deadlines and interviews in close partnership with Admissions.

  • Use Microsoft Dynamics and pipeline reporting to prioritise activity, improve forecasts and identify opportunities to strengthen conversion performance.

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Admissions, Academic, Alumni and Student Experience teams to deliver a seamless and high-quality candidate journey.

About you

You are a credible and perceptive adviser who combines commercial discipline with genuine curiosity about people. You listen carefully, uncover motivations and barriers, and can translate complex program features into relevant value for candidates and their organisations. Comfortable engaging at executive level, you communicate with confidence and discretion and know how to progress decisions without compromising accuracy, ethics or candidate care.

You will bring

  • Substantial experience in premium/luxury real estate, travel, automotive, consultative sales, business development, executive recruitment, executive education, professional services or another high-consideration advisory environment.

  • A strong record of meeting enrolment, revenue, conversion or business development targets through disciplined pipeline management.

  • Proven ability to advise and influence senior leaders and executive stakeholders with credibility and sound judgement.

  • Experience building B2B relationships and generating opportunities through corporate, industry or professional networks.

  • Strong discovery, objection-handling, closing, forecasting and performance-reporting capability.

  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation and facilitation skills across one-to-one, group, online and corporate settings.

  • Confidence using CRM platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce or an equivalent system.

  • A relevant tertiary qualification or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience; a postgraduate business qualification will be highly regarded.

The practical details

The role is based in Carlton and involves regular local travel to corporate sites, industry events and partner organisations, with occasional interstate travel. Flexibility is required to attend information sessions, corporate engagements and events outside standard business hours, with reasonable notice, and to manage peak activity around campaign, application and enrolment deadlines.

Why Melbourne Business School

This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of executive education, leadership development and relationship-led growth. You will engage with accomplished leaders at important career moments, contribute directly to the quality and diversity of our Executive MBA cohorts, and work with colleagues across MBS who are committed to respectful collaboration, experimentation, integrity, accountability and excellence.

Apply now

If you are energised by thoughtful executive engagement, disciplined pipeline management and helping leaders make well-informed development choices, we would welcome your application. Please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and interest in the role. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until a successful candidate is placed.
