Executive Search Consultant

HF Global Search is a specialist executive search business working with technology companies across the US and Europe, with a particular focus on supply chain technology, logistics software, fleet technology and warehouse automation.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Search Consultant based in South Africa to join our growing team. This will initially be a delivery-focused role, working closely with our consultants to identify, engage and qualify high-quality passive candidates for retained and exclusive search assignments. You’ll be working on international mandates, typically across sales, solutions, customer success and leadership roles, with clients ranging from high-growth start-ups to established global technology businesses.

Responsibilities

• You’ll take ownership of the candidate delivery side of searches, including
• Mapping relevant companies and target markets
• Identifying strong passive candidates through LinkedIn and other sourcing tools
• Running candidate outreach across LinkedIn, email and other channels
• Conducting initial screening and qualification calls
• Understanding candidate experience, performance, motivations and compensation
• Assessing candidates against detailed client briefs
• Producing clear candidate notes and shortlists
• Managing candidate communication throughout the search process
• Working closely with the wider team to refine search strategies and improve delivery

This is not a high-volume recruitment environment. We care far more about identifying and engaging the right people than hitting arbitrary activity numbers.

Qualifications

You’ll ideally have experience in recruitment, sourcing, executive search or talent acquisition.

• Confident speaking with senior professionals
• Commercially minded and able to assess quality
• Highly organised and comfortable managing multiple searches
• A strong written and verbal communicator
• Proactive, curious and persistent
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment

Preferred Skills

• Experience recruiting into the US or European markets would be a strong advantage, although it isn’t essential.
