Partnering closely with the IT Executive Leadership Team, you will serve as lead communications advisor to the CIO and the DTCC IT Leadership team, leading the development and execution of comprehensive executive communications, including speeches, presentations, talking points and strategic messaging. You may also support other Executive Committee members on strategic communications initiatives and will partner with Marketing & Communications colleagues to ensure alignment with the broader DTCC corporate narrative.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with CIO, IT Chief of Staff, IT leadership and members of the Marketing & Communications Innovation pod to translate the CIO’s vision and the IT Leadership Team’s strategic priorities into a compelling narrative that elevates global awareness of technology and innovation initiatives and priorities.
  • Serve as senior communications strategist, trusted advisor and primary writer for the CIO, CTO and other IT executives, developing a broad range of executive communications (speeches, talking points, video scripts, presentations, blogs and internal announcements) for multiple audiences including clients, regulators/policymakers, employees and media.
  • Provide proactive counsel on emerging topics and strategic opportunities, anticipate reputational and stakeholder considerations, and ensure IT leaders are prepared to communicate priorities, decisions and progress with confidence across internal and external audiences.

Partner closely with the CIO, IT Chief of Staff and relevant subject matter experts to translate technology and innovation priorities, progress, risks and opportunities into clear, concise and executive-ready materials that support effective engagement with the Board of Directors.
  • Partner with the CIO and IT leadership to identify, validate and research emerging topics, themes and proof points that can be developed into original, compelling storylines to raise awareness of IT initiatives and priorities, reinforce the broader innovation narrative and demonstrate the value of DTCC’s technology work to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide a communications lens to the technology and innovation strategy and proactively provide input and counsel to help influence its direction.
  • Partner across the Marketing & Communications Innovation Pod, providing proactive counsel and guidance on communication issues, emerging technology topics and strategic opportunities; develop and execute a social media content strategy with a primary focus on LinkedIn.
  • Develop and execute an internal and external event and conference strategy to advance the innovation narrative, showcase strategic priorities, position technology executives as thought leaders on key initiatives and strengthen engagement with key stakeholders across clients, employees, industry partners and other external audiences.
  • Monitor, analyze and report on communications metrics to assess reach, engagement, message resonance and overall impact across key audiences. Use data and feedback to identify areas of success, opportunities for improvement and emerging content trends, develop actionable insights to refine messaging, strengthen channel strategy and improve the effectiveness of executive communications over time.
  • Mitigates risk by following established procedures, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.

Qualifications:

Talents Needed for Success:

  • Excellent copywriter across a range of styles with a demonstrated track record in synthesizing complex and technical product and business strategies and turning them into compelling narratives that are accessible to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to assess strategic priorities, identify opportunities and risks, and influence organizational direction.
  • Self-starter, fast learner and critical thinker who is intellectually curious about financial topics and can connect concepts to tell interesting stories.
