What it's like to be a Background Field Investigator As a Background Field Investigator at CANDA Solutions, LLC, you will conduct federal background investigations while preparing detailed reports that adhere to Federal Investigative Standards, laws, and agency regulations. Your role involves working on diverse cases throughout your geographic area of responsibility, which means you'll be traveling to various places of employment, residences, and educational institutions. As travel is a part of the role you must demonstrate adaptability in various environments and engage effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are crucial, allowing you to maintain professional relationships with government organizations, contractors, and law enforcement agencies, as well as produce detailed investigative reports. A bachelor's degree or a High School Diploma with a minimum of 2–3 years relevant experience and a valid driver's license, along with reliable transportation, are required to thrive in this dynamic position. Knowledge, skills and qualifications required for the position are: Active Top-Secret Clearance Bachelor's Degree or a High School Diploma with at least 1 year of the last 3 years working on a Federal BI contract A current driver's license reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally daily dependent on assignment location A home office equipped with high-speed internet and fax line; laptop provided by government customer Exceptional written and oral communication skills such as typing detailed extensive and lengthy reports Position requires candidates to complete the National Training Standards course Conduct efficient and accurate investigations and to meet quality timeliness and production metrics Engage in dialogue on a regular basis with managers and representatives at contractor facilities, various U.S. Government organizations, and law enforcement agencies to develop and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships Workload based on availability of cases Opportunities available for multiple level candidates based upon qualifications Your next step We're looking for talented individuals like you to join our team and help us achieve our goals.
