What it's like to be a Part-Time Background Field Investigator As a Part-Time Background Field Investigator at CANDA Solutions, LLC, you will conduct federal background investigations while preparing detailed reports that adhere to Federal Investigative Standards, laws, and agency regulations. Your role involves working on diverse cases throughout your geographic area of responsibility on a part-time schedule, meaning you'll travel to various places of employment, residences, and educational institutions as cases are assigned. Strong organizational skills will enable you to produce thorough reports within strict timelines while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting production metrics. Since travel is part of the role, you must demonstrate adaptability in various environments and engage effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are crucial, allowing you to maintain professional relationships with government organizations, contractors, and law enforcement agencies, as well as produce detailed investigative reports. A bachelor's degree or a High School Diploma with a minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience, a valid driver's license, and reliable transportation are required to thrive in this dynamic part-time position. Knowledge, skills and qualifications required for the position are: Active Top-Secret Clearance Prior experience working on a Federal Background Investigation contract Bachelor's Degree or a High School Diploma with at least 1 year of the last 3 years working on a Federal BI contract A current driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel locally dependent on assignment location A home office equipped with high-speed internet and fax line; laptop provided by government customer Exceptional written and oral communication skills such as typing detailed, extensive, and lengthy reports Position requires candidates to complete the National Training Standards course Conduct efficient and accurate investigations and meet quality, timeliness, and production metrics Engage in dialogue on a regular basis with managers and representatives at contractor facilities, various U.S. Government organizations, and law enforcement agencies to develop and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships Part-time schedule with workload based on case availability Opportunities available for multiple level candidates based upon qualifications Your next step We're looking for talented individuals like you to join our team on a part-time basis and help us achieve our goals.
