Apply now! We usually respond within a day We are seeking an Experienced Senior Manager / Executive Director (Direct Tax & Transfer Pricing) to further expand tax capabilities for our client. In this role, you will be responsible with managing and supervising direct tax (CIT, WHT and PIT) as well as transfer pricing practices, with focus on technical review and business development together with the Head of Tax. Main responsibilities would be: Direct Taxation: Review and supervise a complete range of tax engagements, collaborating with other colleagues in the tax team and professionals from other business lines (e.g., audit, advisory, accounting); Coordinate due diligence reports and complex tax advisory projects; Develop the tax litigation practice with focus on direct taxation (CIT, WHT and PIT); Organize internal training sessions and informal technical meetings as part of the continuous professional development (CPD) of Grant Thornton Romania’s tax team; Increase the team visibility in the market and implement the promotion strategy of the tax practice together with the Head of Tax, by participating in various tax events as well as meetings with clients; Supervise internal procedures related to client onboarding and AML compliance; Work collaboratively as a team member, sharing responsibilities, providing support, and maintaining clear communication with the top management team. Transfer pricing: Support the implementation of the business development strategy for transfer pricing practice; Coordinate complex projects involving both direct taxation and transfer pricing, by aligning the common issues and identify potential consequences for clients; Develop the tax litigation practice with focus on transfer pricing, by proving good expertise in arguing against transfer pricing adjustments. Will be responsible of whole team performance and accomplishing the defined budget. To qualify for this role, you will need to have: · Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in economics, finance/accounting/management or law; · Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in the Romanian Tax practice (consulting or industry experience); · Minimum 2 years in a Senior Manager position covering direct taxation; · Strong knowledge and experience in direct taxes (corporate income tax (CIT), withholding tax (WHT) and personal income tax (PIT)), as well as transfer pricing processes, with exposure to both tax compliance and tax advisory projects; · Experience working with Romanian tax authorities; · Membership in the Romanian professional body – CCF; · Relevant professional qualifications, such as ADIT, CECCAR or ACCA are considered a plus; · Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point) and fluency in English; · Experience in coordinating, coaching and motivating a team by monitoring performance, offering feedback and create professional development opportunities; · Excellent communication and project management skills; · Great organization skills, analytical skills and you always check the details; · Like to work in a young dynamic environment, you are a real team player, collaborative and create a positive team environment.
