The Role

As a Tour Consultant, you will play a key role in designing, coordinating, and delivering seamless travel experiences for French-speaking clients and partners.

You will manage travel arrangements from planning through execution, working closely with hotels, guides, transport providers, and local partners to ensure exceptional service and unforgettable journeys.

This is a full-time hybrid position, based in the Johannesburg metropolitan area, with a combination of office-based and remote working.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage bookings for accommodation, transportation, guiding services, activities, and excursions
• Liaise with local suppliers and international partners to ensure smooth trip operations
• Prepare quotations and travel documentation
• Coordinate logistics and resolve operational issues efficiently
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and service excellence
• Contribute ideas, destination expertise, and product development initiatives
• Represent the quality standards and values of Satyagraha Travel and the Voyageurs du Monde Group
• Being part of the production team to keep our production in the trend of all new standards in SA

What We're Looking For : Essential

• Proven experience within an inbound tour operator, DMC, or tourism services environment
• Strong knowledge of South Africa
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) and French would be a +
• Proficiency with common office, travel, and communication tools (especially Excel, Tourplan is a +)
• Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

Desirable:

• Additional international or local language skills
• Experience working with European travel markets, particularly the French market
• Knowledge of product development, group travel, or special interest travel
• Interest in history, culture, heritage tourism, and the values represented by Satyagraha House
