Expert Application Security Specialist – IAM / SailPoint IQ
Job Description
We are looking for an Expert Application Security Specialist to join an ongoing Identity and Access Management (IAM) program. The role focuses on reviewing and managing access groups, user accounts, and service accounts within SailPoint IQ. You will work closely with Business and IT stakeholders to onboard access groups, review existing permissions, and clean up access rights in line with business requirements and security standards.
You will join an established project team and play an important role in coordinating stakeholders, analyzing access-related data, and driving IAM activities forward. The ideal candidate combines hands-on experience with SailPoint IQ, a good understanding of business applications and IT processes, and the ability to advise stakeholders while challenging existing access management practices when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Analyze user access data and identify inactive accounts, excessive permissions, and unnecessary access rights.
- Review access groups, user accounts, and service accounts and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Coordinate the onboarding and clean-up of access groups and accounts in SailPoint IQ.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, application managers, IT teams, and system providers to gather information and agree on appropriate actions.
- Work with RACF and IAM subject matter experts to identify risks and propose suitable mitigations.
- Facilitate discussions to resolve conflicting requirements and priorities.
- Support project planning, effort prioritization, and scope management.
- Identify project risks, recommend mitigation measures, and support change management activities.
- Ensure IAM activities align with business needs, security requirements, and project deliverables.
Requirements
- Proven experience in IAM, application security, application management, or user access administration.
- Hands-on experience with SailPoint IQ, particularly managing access groups, user accounts, and service accounts.
- Good understanding of Identity and Access Management and application security principles.
- Experience analyzing access rights and supporting access reviews or access clean-up activities.
- Understanding of business applications and IT processes.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-driven, proactive approach and the ability to work independently in a project environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or a related field.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with RACF or other enterprise access management solutions.
- Experience supporting IAM implementations, access governance, or application onboarding initiatives.
- Experience in project coordination and change management.
