Your tasks

• Combine business analysis, hands-on data engineering, and solution delivery across the commodity trading lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Trading, Risk, Operations, and Finance to understand processes and deliver trusted data products.
• Translate business needs into user stories, functional specifications, data requirements, acceptance criteria, and solution designs.
• Analyze data flows and define integrations between trading platforms and enterprise applications.
• Design and support interfaces, APIs, source-to-target mappings, and transformation rules.
• Develop and maintain data and analytics solutions using SQL, Python/PySpark, Power BI, and Azure Databricks.
• Implement data-quality checks, reconciliations, lineage, monitoring, and process automation.
• Investigate data inconsistencies, troubleshoot pipelines, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Deliver solutions end to end, from initial requirements through testing, UAT, release, and production deployment.

Your profile

• Master’s degree/Diploma in IT and Data Analytics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in commodity trading, energy trading, Oil & Gas, or another complex trading environment.
• Understanding of front-to-back trading processes
• Strong Business analysis and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent communication skills and experience working across business and technology functions are essential.
• The successful candidate demonstrates strong hands-on expertise in Azure Databricks, SQL, Python/PySpark, data modeling, ETL/ELT processes.
• Strong practical knowledge in APIs and system integration, Power BI, Git/CI/CD, and data quality and reconciliation concepts.
• Experience with trading systems such as Endur or Orchestrade is considered an advantage.

The minimum gross annual salary according to the collective agreement amounts to EUR 77.700,-- all-in. Depending on skills and specific experience, over-payment is possible.
