Position Overview: Mentors are industry professionals who provide world-class technical support to our learners in their Nanodegree journey. All our mentors are handpicked through a rigorous selection process so that we can truly be #studentfirst. As a mentor, you will be meeting virtually on a weekly basis with your students for community support, live office hours and other activities. Required skills/qualifications: Fluency in English both written and spoken Eligibility Requirements: Mentors must have at least 7 years of industry experience or a master’s degree in the relevant field. Technical competence: Statistical Foundations, Data Wrangling, Visualization & Storytelling, Product KPIs, Data Pipeline, Data Modeling & Storage, Strong understanding of Experiment Design (A/B Testing, Multivariate) and statistical inference, product management frameworks (e.g., RICE, Iterative Design). Product Development, Rapid Prototyping, User-Centered Design, Product Strategy, Go-To-Market Strategy, Basic knowledge of SQL. Graduate from a Udacity Nanodegree Program is a added plus Experience teaching technical concepts and public speaking, organizing technical talks, or webinars Positive character, trusted by the students, creating emotional ties in the group Flexibility at their current job to take this challenge part-time as an external contractor Responsibilities: Provide technical support for students over an online community forum Answer questions around course content over the forum and facilitate content for students who get stuck in learning Host one weekly live virtual session to offer direct, real-time support to students. Redirect learners to appropriate support channels and escalate issues to the Mentor Operations team when needed Why should you apply?
