Position Summary
Under
general supervision, serves as a primary resource, mentor, and advisor to
students regarding their educational development, career planning, and personal
growth. Promotes student success by providing guidance and facilitating access
to university resources and programs.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitors student progress and provides individualized guidance to support academic and personal development.
- Refers students to appropriate university departments or outside agencies for services and support.
- Assists with or coordinates departmental or campus-wide student recruitment activities.
- Provides guidance on admissions requirements, international programs, study abroad, veterans’ programs, and other university or external programs, as applicable.
- Conducts outreach to internal and external stakeholders regarding student programs and services.
- Provides information about university resources and assists students in accessing them.
- Coordinates student activities and provides guidance to participating students.
- Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree*
- Additional education or other formal training in an area of specialization inherent to the position may be required.*
- Demonstrated work experience in the area of specialization inherent to the position may be required.*
