Facilities Management Systems Manager
Up to £60,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 5)
Manchester City Centre (hybrid working – splitting your time between home and the office)

We’re looking for a Facilities Management Systems Manager to lead the technology that underpins our Facilities Management (FM) operation. You’ll take ownership of our FM platforms, making sure they’re reliable, effective, and continuously improving to meet the needs of our business. We'll also look to you to manage effective relationships with our various software providers.

Working across Facilities Management, Property, Trading, Technology, Finance, Compliance, and external partners, you’ll play a key role in shaping how we use technology and data to manage our estate. From setting the systems development roadmap and governing change, to improving data quality and driving user adoption, you’ll help make sure colleagues have the tools and information they need to make confident decisions and deliver great outcomes.

If you’re passionate about systems, data, and creating better experiences for users, we’d love to hear from you.

Why this role matters

Our FM systems are critical to how we keep the buildings across our estate safe and compliant. These systems help us manage assets, monitor compliance, co-ordinate maintenance, manage capital projects and support day-to-day operational decision-making.

As Facilities Management Systems Manager, you’ll help create a single source of truth for FM by making sure our systems, data, and processes are robust, trusted, and fit for the future. Your work will enable us to ensure better decision-making, strengthen governance, and help drive improvements that support our colleagues, customers, and member-owners every day.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and manage a team of Systems Analysts, setting clear objectives, and managing resources and workloads
  • Own the day-to-day performance, governance, and continuous improvement of our systems
  • Develop and maintain a prioritised systems roadmap aligned to business strategy, operational requirements, and user needs
  • Assess, challenge, and manage system change requests, making sure appropriate governance, testing, and approval processes are followed
  • Establish data quality standards and controls across property, asset, supplier, and compliance data
  • Lead user acceptance testing, defect management, release planning, and post-implementation reviews
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve system usability, efficiency, and adoption
  • Work with reporting and operational teams to improve access to data, insights, and performance reporting
  • Manage suppliers and support partners, monitoring performance, undertaking supplier relationship meetings and co-ordinating change activity
  • Create guidance, training, and support materials that help colleagues and partners get the most from our systems
  • Oversee support processes, risk management, access controls, and audit requirements, making sure systems remain secure and reliable

What you’ll bring

We’re committed to making our roles as accessible as possible, so we only ask for the minimum criteria. To thrive here, you’ll need to bring:

  • Experience managing CAFM, IWMS, or similar operational systems
  • A strong understanding of FM processes, including asset management, maintenance, compliance, and supplier workflows
  • Experience translating business needs into system improvements, process changes, and technical requirements
  • Knowledge of system testing, release management, and change governance
  • Strong data management and analytical skills
  • Experience managing a team
  • Experience managing suppliers and partners across multiple teams
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to influence and challenge constructively
