Working closely with the Subject Area Manager, faculty and colleagues across the School, you’ll provide administrative, teaching and events support across degree and PhD programmes. Your work will help ensure courses and departmental activities run smoothly and that students, faculty and colleagues receive a high-quality, responsive service.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work with Programme Offices and central teams to support grade processing, elective-course examinations and other assessment activities.

  • Organise course logistics, including room bookings, catering, speakers, events and audio-visual requirements.

  • Prepare and distribute course materials, both online through Canvas and in hard copy, and help source teaching resources.

  • Assist with in-class student assessment activities and related processes.

  • Provide day-to-day administrative and secretarial support to assigned faculty, including diary management, meeting coordination and travel arrangements.

  • Process expenses and support faculty budgets and departmental cost centres using School systems.

  • Help plan and deliver departmental events, academic conferences, seminars, meetings and training activities.

  • Liaise across the School, share information effectively and help colleagues resolve queries and operational issues.

  • Contribute to process reviews and improvements while maintaining accurate records and following School procedures.

Who We Are Looking For

You’ll bring strong organisational skills, a proactive approach and a commitment to excellent service. You’ll also have:

  • A-levels or equivalent experience.

  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook; PowerPoint and database skills are also useful.

  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong eye for detail.

  • The ability to manage a busy workload, prioritise competing deadlines and use your initiative.

  • A collaborative approach and the confidence to work independently and with people at all levels, including senior colleagues.

  • Experience providing administrative support; experience in an international environment and awareness of cultural differences are desirable.

Benefits You Can Enjoy

  • Generous annual leave of 27 days plus extra between Christmas and New Year

  • Enrolment into the Group Pension Scheme

  • Free onsite gym and swimming pool

  • Amazing range of professional development to support your career path

  • Enhanced cycle to work scheme

  • Wellbeing offering to support your physical, mental and financial health
