Job Summary
This role owns the technical administration, governance, and lifecycle tooling for AI agents and assistants across the enterprise's three AI ecosystems: Microsoft Power Platform/Copilot Studio, the broader Microsoft 365 Copilot suite, and Anthropic Claude. The engineer builds and maintains the guardrails — data loss prevention (DLP) policies, environment strategy, identity and access controls, usage governance, and agent inventory — that let business teams build and use AI safely, and partners with security, identity, and compliance teams where governance crosses platform boundaries.
Essential Job Functions
- Power Platform & Copilot Studio
- Administer PPAC: environment strategy, managed environments, tenant inventory, capacity/licensing, and usage monitoring in the Power Platform Admin Center.
- Manage DLP policies: design, implement, and maintain data loss prevention policies for Power Platform and Copilot Studio agents, including connector classification and action-level control.
- Govern Agent 365 registrations: register and govern agents in Microsoft Agent 365, maintaining the agent registry, assigning ownership, and triaging agents flagged with security risk via Defender, Entra, and Purview signals.
- Microsoft 365 Copilot Ecosystem
- Administer Microsoft 365 Copilot: manage deployment across Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and other apps, including enterprise data protection settings.
- Govern Copilot Chat and Agent Builder: manage the no-code declarative agent experience, including knowledge sources and consumption billing available to makers.
- Enable and govern Copilot Cowork: administer Microsoft's agentic execution layer for long-running, multi-step tasks, including Copilot Credit billing and its use of Anthropic Claude models as a subprocessor.
- Administer GitHub Copilot: manage organization-level policy configuration, seat management, and content-exclusion policies for engineering teams.
- Evaluate and govern Microsoft Scout: assess Microsoft's always-on “Autopilot” personal agent, including its policy-conformance and approval controls, as it becomes available tenant-wide.
- Anthropic Claude
- Administer Claude Console and Claude for Enterprise: manage workspace(s), seat management, workspace/role structure, and org-wide feature settings.
- Manage API governance: oversee API key issuance, rate limits, and spend controls; monitor usage and cost analytics across teams and use cases.
- Configure identity management: set up SSO, SCIM provisioning, and JIT access in partnership with the identity team.
- Own security and compliance settings: manage data retention configuration, audit log review, and (where applicable) zero data retention, CMEK, or HIPAA-ready configurations.
- Manage Connectors and MCP integrations: support enterprise rollout and governance of Claude Code and Claude Cowork.
- Cross-Platform Responsibilities
- Maintain a consolidated view of agent/assistant inventory, ownership, and risk across Power Platform, M365 Copilot, and Claude for leadership reporting.
- Feed data from all three ecosystems into the organization's Agent SDLC framework (POC, UAT, Pilot, Production) so every platform is governed under one lifecycle model.
- Produce documentation, runbooks, and stakeholder communications on policy changes, incidents, and platform updates.
