  • Onsite: daily onsite requirement based on the essential functions of the job

  • Remote: not held to onsite requirements, however, leadership can request presence onsite for business reasons including but not limited to staff meetings, one-on-ones, training, and team building

Please note that onsite requirements may change in the future, based on business need, and job responsibilities. Most employees should expect onsite requirements and at a minimum of once per week.

This position is hybrid within the state of AZ only. This hybrid work opportunity requires residency, and work to be performed, within the State of Arizona.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB


Implements, manages, and monitors internal- and external-facing corporate sponsorships, events, conferences, webinars, and meetings in support of marketing strategies, and FEP enrollment and retention goals. Works under the general supervision and high-level direction of a marketing lead/manager with considerable project-specific autonomy at times. Within the assigned market and territory, provides a high level of customer service to our current and prospective members, and federal agency contacts (ABOs), through the development of effective relationships.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Required Work Experience

  • 3 years of experience in customer service at a health plan or in marketing, or sales (lev 1)
  • 5 years of experience in customer service at a health plan or in marketing, or sales (lev 2)

Required Education

  • High-School Diploma or GED in general field of study (all levels)

Required Licenses

  • Active, current, and unrestricted State of Arizona license to sell health insurance (all levels)
  • Valid Arizona driver license with acceptable driving record (all levels)

Required Certifications

  • N/A

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Work Experience

  • 3 years of experience specific to the Federal Employee Program (lev 1)
  • 5 years of experience specific to the Federal Employee Program (lev 2)
  • 1 year of experience in account management (all levels)
  • 1 year of experience in a sales capacity (all levels)

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing or other related field of study (all levels)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

LEVEL 1

  • Support and assist with annual FEP enrollment goals by developing, planning, and implementing a field schedule and marketing strategy for FEP Open Season.
  • Reaches out to current members to welcome them to the program and ensure they know how to use the benefits and features of their plan(s).
  • Manage activities in the CRM database (Saleshub) and meet team annual field activity goals.
  • Manage the promotional inventory, including event materials, giveaways, banners, and attire, and filling the material requests as necessary.
  • Activate small to large company sponsorships, meetings, conferences, webinars, and events with minimal supervision or guidance.
  • Develop talking points and perform outbound calls and follow up on leads and referrals as needed throughout the year.
  • Provide recommendations (and test new ideas) for improving member/ABO satisfaction and ROI.
  • Make key decisions and collaborate with Marketing and/or other divisions on event content and meeting design to achieve FEP’s goals and objectives.
  • Complete post-evaluation event tasks including reconciliation of expenses and presenting results of the project to leadership.
  • Manage event budgets that forecast for obstacles or opportunities.
  • Serve as a SME/resource to other internal partners for FEP insights.
  • Contribute to development and execution of the overall FEP OS marketing strategy annually.
  • Maintain positive relationships through outstanding customer service and high satisfaction levels for all Arizona federal agencies.
  • Develop marketing materials and other types of communication materials (sales kits, brochures, one-sheets, letters, power point presentations and giveaways) for key audience targets within assigned territory.
  • Stay current with government regulations and bulletins and memorandums from the FEP Director’s Office and comply with all required reporting.
  • Travel to federal agencies in assigned area as needed to meet or exceed established goals.
  • Organize and attend Open Season activities.
  • Travel overnight and some weekends.
  • Understand the FEHBP and FEDVIP benefits (old and new)
  • Understand eligibility/enrollment issues and educate agency contacts, federal employees, and customer service.
  • Maintain close surveillance over competition and marketplace; summarize and report finding to the FEP team
  • Attend federal employee conference/conventions and public relations events

LEVEL 2

  • Analyze complex data and prepare insights for leadership.
  • Lead cross-functional projects outside of the event marketing scope as needed to meet company goals and objectives
  • Provide counsel on how to showcase content through event marketing resources to increase the event’s effectiveness
  • Implement on-going marketing strategies, identify new business opportunities, and serve as a product expert for other areas within our company.
  • Work with manager / lead to develop FEP annual enrollment goals for the corporation.
  • Identify market research needs to define new target customers and enhance and grow the business within existing targets.

OVERALL

  • Each progressive level includes the ability to perform the essential functions of any lower level.
  • The position has an onsite expectation of 1 day per week and requires a full-time work schedule. Full-time is defined as working at least 40 hours per week, plus any additional hours as requested or as needed to meet business requirements
