FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) Buyer

As we continue to scale our portfolio, we are building a structured approach to apartment furnishing, product sourcing, purchasing, and supply chain standardization.

The Role

We are looking for an FF&E Buyer to manage the sourcing and purchasing of furniture, fixtures, equipment, and other products used across our apartments.

This role sits between Design, Purchasing, and Operations and is responsible for sourcing and purchasing the furniture and products used across Moving Doors apartments. You will work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to identify the right products, negotiate competitive commercial terms, and ensure timely delivery while balancing cost, quality, and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Furniture & Product Sourcing

• Own and maintain the approved furniture and equipment catalog across our apartments.
• Source and evaluate furniture, fixtures, equipment, and other products with suppliers and manufacturers.
• Work with suppliers to identify suitable products and alternatives based on quality, specifications, availability, and cost.
• Ensure products meet agreed quality, functionality, durability, and furnishing standards.

Sourcing & Purchasing

• Identify and evaluate suppliers, request and compare quotations, and negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, minimum order quantities, and other commercial conditions.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while ensuring competitive purchasing terms.
• Manage purchasing from quotation and order placement through to delivery.
• Prepare and manage purchase orders and maintain accurate purchasing and supplier records.
• Follow up with suppliers on orders, deliveries, quality issues, returns, and warranties.
• Coordinate with Operations, Logistics, and Finance to ensure timely delivery, stock availability, and invoice processing.

Optimization & Standardization

• Work with Operations to monitor product performance, replacement rates, and recurring issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve cost, supplier terms, quality, durability, lead times, and operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate product specifications, pricing, and supplier information across the FF&E catalog.
• Work with Design, Operations, and Purchasing to ensure products are practical, scalable, and aligned with our furnishing standards.

• Background in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Interior Design, Furniture Design, or a related field.
• Experience in purchasing, sourcing, or supplier management, ideally within furniture, furnishing, hospitality, construction, or property-related industries.
• Experience working with furniture suppliers, manufacturers, or product sourcing.
• Proven experience in supplier negotiation, including pricing, payment terms, lead times, and commercial conditions.
• Strong understanding of furniture, materials, product quality, and durability.
• Ability to balance cost, quality, lead time, availability, and operational requirements.
• Strong communication and relationship-management skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Willingness and ability to travel occasionally to meet suppliers and key partners.
