This position performs field investigations on disability, life, and other insurance claims. This position conducts investigative interviews using knowledge of claims operations, state statutes, and applicable policy language. This role is fully remote (within California) and requires heavy travel (75% to 100%) covering a region within the Western United States. An ideal candidate would be located within 50 miles to a major airport. What you do: Conducts interviews with claimants, attorneys, employers, physicians, law enforcement, and others. Performs surveillance of claimants using appropriate equipment. Prepares detailed written reports of investigative findings. Organizes, plans, and executes the weekly travel schedule. What you bring: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required. 4-7 years of related experience is required. Experience with claims, disability insurance, or life insurance is preferred. Previous law enforcement or investigative experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal communication skills are required. Excellent written communication and documentation skills are required.
