About us

Risk Ledger is developing a network of connected organisations, all working together to defend against cybersecurity attacks in the supply chain.

Organisations rely on us to establish trust, through sharing their security maturity and visualising the risks posed by their supply chain ecosystem. And we’re already trusted by customers like British Airways, BAE Systems and the NHS.

We are putting together an amazing and talented team from a diverse set of backgrounds and skillsets to drive us towards our vision. Risk Ledger is built on the respect we have for one another and our users, united by our shared values and mission.

Every one of us is still learning: it’s how we grow as individuals. We’re curious. We’re ambitious. And we’re humble and honest. At Risk Ledger, we aim high to find the best solutions we can and always put our users first.

About The Role

The US is a major growth market for Risk Ledger, and we're looking for our first dedicated US Field Marketing Manager to grow our presence in the market.

You'll play a leading role in shaping our brand experience in the US through a mix of event and field programs. Working closely with our Field Marketing & Community Lead, the Global Marketing Team and US Sales, you'll plan and deliver a roadmap of in-person experiences that accelerate deals and deepen customer relationships.

This is a hands-on role. Most of your time will be spent delivering every part of our US events and field programs, from planning and vendors to promotion, on-the-day delivery and sales follow-up. You'll also bring the strategic thinking to plan the calendar as a whole and invest where it counts.

You won't be starting from scratch. You'll have established global playbooks, processes and content support to work from, and your job is to adapt them for the US market. Where you'll have real autonomy is in choosing and building our US partner, venue and vendor relationships, using your local knowledge to decide what works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver a portfolio of targeted field programs including executive dinners, roundtables, customer experiences, industry events, trade shows and partner activations.
  • Own every part of each event, from planning, vendors and logistics to promotion and on-the-day delivery.
  • Run pre-event, day-of and post-event engagement that maximizes registration-to-attendance conversion and drives strong sales follow-up.
  • Adapt our global field marketing playbooks and processes for the US, and feed back what you learn to improve them.
  • Select, build and manage relationships with US event partners, venues, vendors and industry groups, creating co-marketing opportunities that expand our reach into priority communities.
  • Partner closely with US Sales on territory and account priorities, so field programs reach the right people at the right moments in the buying cycle.
  • Manage your field marketing budget, making commercially informed decisions about where to invest.
  • Track and report on performance across sourced and influenced pipeline, engagement quality and account progression. Use dashboards and feedback from Sales to test, learn and optimize.
  • Work with Demand Generation, Product Marketing and Content to connect field activity with wider campaigns.
  • Act as our eyes and ears on the ground, bringing customer and market insight back to the wider marketing and GTM team.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in B2B tech or SaaS field or event marketing, ideally selling into mid-market or enterprise organizations. This is typically around 5 years, but we care more about what you can evidence than how long you've been doing it.
  • Hands-on experience running the full event lifecycle, with a strong eye for detail.
  • An understanding of how to measure field marketing: what to report on, where the numbers come from, and how to use dashboards with Sales to show impact on pipeline and ROI.
  • Experience managing an event or field budget and making investment decisions.
  • A strong commercial mindset and close partnership with Sales. You understand that a successful field program doesn't end when the event does.
  • The ability to think strategically about the bigger picture while staying close to the detail.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the confidence to quickly build a network of partners, venues and vendors.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and limited data, and the instinct to test an approach, learn and adjust.
  • Strong cross-functional stakeholder management, with the ability to work across Sales, Marketing and leadership, including colleagues in the UK.

Nice To Haves

  • Startup or scale-up experience, or another fast-moving environment where you've dealt with plenty of ambiguity.
  • Existing relationships with relevant US venues, partners, communities or event vendors.
  • Experience marketing to cybersecurity, risk, compliance, procurement or other technical B2B audiences.
  • Experience with account-based marketing or account-based field programs.
  • Salesforce and marketing automation experience.

This Role Probably Isn't the Right Fit If You:

  • Want to own the strategy without being hands-on in delivering events.
  • Prefer to focus only on delivering events, without thinking about how they fit into the wider plan and what they generate for Sales.
  • Aren't comfortable making decisions with incomplete information, testing an approach and changing course when it doesn't work.
  • See success as delivering great events rather than what happens afterwards, i.e. the quality of the conversations, sales follow-up, pipeline and revenue they generate.
  • Find it frustrating to build relationships and get things done in an environment where you need to proactively chase information, decisions and support.

What Success Looks Like After 12 Months

  • A defined US field roadmap is running, built on our global playbooks and adapted to what works in the US market.
  • We have trusted US partner, venue and vendor relationships, so field activity no longer starts from scratch each time.
  • Field programs are demonstrably contributing pipeline against US sales targets, with clear, regular reporting.
  • US Sales treats field marketing as a core lever in its go-to-market approach.

Why This Role Matters

The US is one of the biggest opportunities ahead for Risk Ledger. This role is how we'll show up there in person.

You'll join a company that is established in the UK but still very much a startup, especially in the US. You'll have a solid foundation to work from: playbooks from our global marketing team, content support, and close partnership with our Field Marketing & Community Lead and US Sales Director. You'll also have real ownership of how that's applied locally.

This is an individual contributor role with genuine room to grow. As the US market develops, there is scope for you to take on more strategic responsibility for the region.
