Description

Location: Denver, CO (field-based)

Territory: Colorado, Wyoming, and the Rockies

Employment type: Full time

Join our Sales Team as a Field Sales Representative covering both Oil & Gas and Energy Services customers. You will be Delta360 Energy's on-the-ground presence at rig and frac sites across the Rockies, growing fuel, lubricant, DEF, and logistics business with Operators and Rig/Frac contractors.

You will also open a second front: prospecting and closing net new energy services accounts along the Front Range and across the territory, including construction, fleets, agriculture, mining and aggregates, municipalities, and other fuel- and lubricant-intensive businesses. This hybrid role rewards a hunter who can earn trust on location and build an energy services pipeline from scratch.

Responsibilities

The role splits time between protecting and growing Oil & Gas field accounts and building a net new energy services book; the target split is roughly 60% Oil & Gas and 40% Energy Services.

Oil & Gas Field Sales

• Conduct weekly site visits to new and existing customer rig and frac locations.

• Actively manage and grow customer accounts at the field level, retaining existing business and expanding share of wallet.

• Cultivate relationships with Operators, Rig/Frac contractors, and field decision makers to gain strategic positioning across the region.

• Track rig and frac activity in the territory to identify coverage gaps and new opportunities.

• Ensure compliance with company standards, customer site requirements, and operational guidelines.

Energy Services Business Development

• Build and execute a prospecting cadence plan with Sales Management, designed to close initial energy services business within the second quarter.

• Perform aggressive lead generation, due diligence, and cold calling to continuously develop a pipeline of net new energy services leads.

• Engage and qualify leads and set appointments, bringing in Sales Management and Product Line Specialists as needed.

• Run prospect meetings independently, preparing in collaboration with Sales Management.

• Convey the value of Delta360's fuel, lubricant, DEF, and logistics offering against each prospect's unique needs and pain points.

• Deliver formal and informal sales presentations, individually and alongside Sales Management.

• Open, negotiate, and close new business with increasing autonomy.

Quoting, Pricing & Proposals

• Generate and submit quotes, then follow up diligently to drive the sales process.

• Prepare bids and proposals based on operational capacity and established margin thresholds, reviewed with Sales and Pricing.

• Submit pricing requests and new site, product, or service setup forms to onboard customer locations accurately.

• Apply knowledge of purchasing, pricing, delivery, and payment practices to structure profitable deals.

CRM & Sales Administration

• Update Salesforce daily to reflect account activity, site visits, and pipeline status.

• Maintain a detailed pipeline of potential and qualified opportunities, with status and next steps for each.

• Keep a regular cadence of pipeline reviews and forecasts with Sales Management.

• Collaborate with supervisors to review monthly budgets and expenses, ensuring alignment with company goals.

• Respond to internal and external customer needs with urgency and consistent follow-up.

Account Onboarding & Planning

• Partner with Operations, Billing, and Customer Service to ensure smooth onboarding of new accounts and accurate pricing and data in company systems.

• Develop account plans covering current state, share of wallet, competition, key decision makers, fuel and lubricant spend, pain points, and an action plan to grow the account.

Industry Presence

• Represent Delta360 at trade shows, association meetings, and industry events across both Oil & Gas and energy services markets.

• Build product knowledge through formal training and collaboration with Product Line Specialists and colleagues.

Performance Expectations

Success is measured on volume, gross margin, and new business won across both segments, with advancement opportunities for those who exceed targets.

• Meet or exceed sales volume and gross margin budgets for the territory.

• Close initial net new energy services business within the second quarter in the role.

• Deliver annual gross margin contribution equal to at least 1.375x the role's total cost to the company.

• Hit weekly field site-visit targets and energy services prospecting call targets.

• Retain and grow existing Oil & Gas accounts in the territory.

• Keep Salesforce current daily and complete scheduled pipeline reviews with Sales Management.

• 3+ years of B2B sales experience, or 2+ years of sales experience in fuel, lubricants, petroleum distribution, or Oil & Gas.

• Proven record of driving new sales growth, including cold-calling success (metrics provided).

• Well organized and detail oriented, able to manage multiple priorities under deadline pressure.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, using judgment within role parameters to make independent decisions.

• Ability to build lasting relationships and manage both new and existing accounts.

Compensation, Travel & Work Environment

Travel: Frequent travel within the Colorado, Wyoming, and Rockies territory, with occasional extended or overnight travel as needed.

Work environment:

• Field-based role working from Denver, splitting time between customer rig and frac sites, energy services prospect locations, and a home or office base.
