About the Opportunity:

The FIELD SERVICES ENGINEER is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of advanced autonomous technology solutions at various customer locations. This role ensures successful deployment and optimal performance of equipment, directly impacting operational safety and efficiency in real-world environments. The position requires close collaboration with engineering and customer teams and involves significant travel to field sites.


Responsibilities:

  • Scope electrical and mechanical requirements for construction and mining equipment
  • Perform on-site installation of hardware and software solutions including sensors, drive-by-wire kits, power integration, and vehicle interfaces
  • Install peripheral hardware such as network stations, gate systems, and office infrastructure
  • Conduct system calibrations and validation tests
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on deployments and research projects
  • Coordinate training and technical maintenance with customer teams
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance
  • Monitor and log equipment conditions
  • Diagnose and repair hardware, software, and connectivity issues
  • Communicate technical findings to engineering for continuous improvement
  • Provide basic customer training during on-site visits
  • Document service activities and updates using internal tools


Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in field service, automotive electronics, mechatronics, or similar technical support roles
  • Proficient with hand and diagnostic tools, electrical testing equipment
  • Strong understanding of vehicle systems including power, CAN bus, sensors, and ECUs
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation
  • Self-directed and capable of independent work in field environments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willing to travel up to 75% to customer sites
  • Located in Arizona, Florida, Texas, or Wyoming


Preferred:

  • Experience with autonomous vehicle systems, heavy equipment, machine control, robotics, or sensor integration
  • Familiarity with Linux-based systems and remote diagnostics
  • OSHA 10 or equivalent safety certification


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, bend, and work around vehicles for extended periods
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions


Pay Range and Compensation Package:

  • Base salary range is $110,000 to $164,000 per year, varying by location
  • Actual compensation will depend on experience, skills, and qualifications
  • Eligibility for equity awards
