WORK LOCATION DETAILS Work Location: Home Office - Coppell, TX Work Schedule: Hybrid • Work from Home: Mondays and Fridays • Onsite: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays JOB SUMMARY The Manager, Field Training leads the strategy, development, delivery, and continuous improvement of store-level training programs that support operational excellence, Team Member development, and successful execution of business priorities. This role leads and develops a team of Field Trainers and is accountable for delivering practical, scalable learning solutions that meet the needs of a geographically dispersed store organization. Through strong field and cross-functional partnerships, the Manager translates business priorities, operational insights, and performance gaps into effective learning solutions. This role drives adoption of training initiatives and uses learner feedback, performance data, and business results to strengthen Team Member capability, store execution, customer experience, and overall business performance. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Strategy • Develop and execute the field training strategy based on business priorities, learner needs, leadership feedback, field insights, and evolving operational requirements. • Translate business priorities, operational insights, and performance gaps into practical, scalable learning strategies that strengthen Team Member capability and store execution. • Establish a field training roadmap that identifies priorities, resource needs, implementation timing, and measures of success. • Identify and implement innovative training methods, technologies, and content-delivery approaches that support a dynamic, geographically dispersed workforce. People Leadership • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Field Trainers, establishing clear expectations and fostering accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. • Set team priorities, allocate resources, monitor performance, and provide ongoing feedback and development to build individual and team capabilities. • Foster a consistent, inclusive, and high-performing team culture focused on learner needs, field support, and measurable business outcomes. Program Ownership and Delivery • Oversee the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of scalable training programs supporting new-hire onboarding, skill development, operational processes, compliance requirements, leadership capabilities, and business initiatives. • Assess the training and readiness needs associated with new business initiatives and develop implementation plans that prepare store teams for successful execution. • Develop and optimize blended learning solutions, including instructor-led, virtual, self-paced, on-the-job, and group learning experiences. • Facilitate training programs and business initiatives using engaging and effective adult-learning methods. • Ensure policy, process, system, and procedural updates are accurately translated into clear, actionable training and performance-support resources for store teams. • Manage multiple training initiatives by establishing priorities, timelines, deliverables, roles, and stakeholder expectations to ensure timely and effective execution. • Manage and optimize learning systems, content repositories, training calendars, and learning technologies to ensure training resources remain current, accurate, accessible, and effective. • Establish and maintain training governance and documentation standards, including course materials, attendance records, evaluations, assessments, and completion data. Measurement and Continuous Improvement • Establish and monitor key measures of training effectiveness, including completion, learner engagement, knowledge retention, field adoption, operational execution, learner satisfaction, and business impact. • Develop assessments, knowledge checks, evaluations, and other measurement tools to evaluate learner understanding, application, and readiness. • Analyze learner feedback, assessment results, performance data, and field insights to identify trends, recurring knowledge gaps, and improvement opportunities. • Translate training and performance insights into recommendations that improve learning programs, operational tools, procedures, and field communications. • Provide leaders with timely reporting and actionable insights into training participation, effectiveness, adoption, and business impact. Partnerships and Influence • Build strong partnerships with Human Resources, Store Operations, Field Leadership, Field Communications, and other stakeholders to align training priorities, content, timing, and implementation plans. • Partner with business and functional leaders to identify performance, knowledge, and skill gaps and develop targeted training, coaching, and performance-support solutions. • Serve as a field training subject-matter expert, advising business partners on learning strategy, implementation readiness, adoption, and reinforcement. • Present training strategies, performance measures, business impact, and recommendations to senior leadership, adjusting priorities and solutions based on organizational needs. • Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience • Bachelor’s degree in learning and development, instructional design, human resources, business, or a related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in training, learning and development, instructional design, retail operations, or a related field. • People leadership experience, including responsibility for coaching, developing, and managing performance. • Experience supporting multi-unit retail operations or another geographically dispersed workforce strongly preferred. Learning and Development Expertise • Experience developing and executing learning strategies and scalable training programs that support adoption, operational execution, and measurable business outcomes. • Experience designing and implementing new-hire, skill-development, operational, process, leadership, and compliance training programs. • Knowledge of adult-learning principles, instructional design practices, facilitation methods, and learning measurement. • Experience developing blended learning solutions, including instructor-led, virtual, self-paced, on-the-job, and group learning. • Experience developing assessments and using learner and performance data to evaluate training effectiveness and improve learning solutions. Leadership and Business Capabilities • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, establish priorities, manage performance, and create accountability for results. • Demonstrated ability to lead change and drive adoption of new processes, programs, systems, and business initiatives across a field-based organization. • Strong business judgment and the ability to translate operational needs and performance gaps into practical learning solutions. • Ability to build effective relationships, influence decisions, and collaborate with Team Members at all levels of the organization. Communication and Execution • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills. • Ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging, and actionable learning content for varied audiences. • Strong project management, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to manage competing priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and consistently meet deadlines. Systems and Technology • Experience using learning management systems, content-management platforms, reporting tools, and learning technologies to administer programs and measure training effectiveness. • Experience with Oracle Learning or a comparable learning management system preferred. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams. Travel • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
