Job Description:
You will support the Project Finance Capability Centre (PFCC) by improving data quality, standardising reporting approaches, and enabling greater automation across Finance processes. Working with stakeholders across the business, you will develop data models, dashboards, and reporting solutions that provide meaningful insights and support strategy-making. You will play a key role in finance transformation activities, helping to modernise data structures, strengthen financial controls, and embed consistent, data-driven ways of working across the Air portfolio.
Core duties:
- Create, enhance, and maintain dashboards, reporting solutions, and self-service analytics capabilities that provide actionable insights, improve business performance, and support strategy-making across the PFCC and wider Air business
- Work across the PFCC to translate project and finance data into meaningful insights, identifying opportunities to improve reporting solutions, data models, analytics capability, and underlying data structures
- Develop and implement standardised data rules, structures, and models that support greater automation, ensuring stakeholder requirements are reflected within reporting solutions, data models, and finance processes
- Apply data and analytics expertise to modernise PFCC data maintenance activities, driving automation, improving reporting efficiency, and embedding best-practice data management techniques across Project Finance
- Improve data ownership and integrity by reducing manual corrections, promoting "right at source" principles, and strengthening the quality, consistency, and governance of financial and project data
- Support the wider AdAstra and Finance transformation agenda by exploring and introducing new technologies, tools, and approaches that improve scalability, automation, reporting, and analytical capability across the PFCC
- Ensure compliance with financial controls and governance requirements, supporting internal and external audit activities through accurate, consistent, and well-managed data and reporting practices
Essential Skills:
- Experience applying advanced data and analytical skills within a finance, project finance, FP&A, or similar data-driven environment
- Proficient ability to interpret complex data, generate meaningful insights, and communicate recommendations and outcomes to senior stakeholders with minimal oversight
- Experience creating, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and Power Query solutions, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Considerable understanding of data modelling principles, with experience working with complex datasets from multiple systems and sources to support reporting, analytics, and strategy-making
- Experience designing, maintaining, or improving data structures, automated data flows, and reporting solutions, with an understanding of data architecture and data engineering principles
- Ideally, experience using modern cloud-based analytics and reporting platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar technologies, alongside a demonstrable interest in automation, emerging technologies, and data best practice
The Air PFCC Data Function Team:
A close‑knit team of five within the PFCC Data function, supporting a wider Project Finance Capability Centre of around 150 specialists. The team plays a key role in enabling AdAstra and future transformation activity, offering profound development opportunities, exposure to senior finance leaders and the chance to shape high‑profile data projects across the Air portfolio.
