Finance Associate - Payables and Payroll

The role

The Finance Associate will provide comprehensive administrative support to the finance department to ensure employee files and related documentation follow local legislation and align with global policies.

What you'll be doing

Accounts Payable

• Process and verify supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and appropriate approvals.

• Maintain vendor records and manage supplier relationships.

• Prepare and execute payment runs in accordance with company policies and timelines.

• Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve invoice/payment discrepancies.

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to Accounts Payables

Payroll Support

• Assist in preparing and processing payroll in compliance with local legislation and company policies.

• Support the HR function by maintaining accurate payroll records, including tax, pension, leave, and other employee data.

• Collaborate with HR to ensure correct and timely updates of employee information.

• Liaise with external payroll providers and HR systems.

• Help maintain reimbursement and employee benefit records in line with local regulations.

General Finance Support

• Assist with reconciliations, accruals, and other accounting tasks as required.

• Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation.

• Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the Finance team.

Who we're looking for

Education / Qualifications:

• 5th or 6.1th level qualification per the National Qualifications Framework of Serbia (NOKS)

• Proven experience in accounts payable and payroll support.

• Understanding of (or willingness to learn) local tax, labour, and payroll regulations relevant to the region.

Experience:

• 1-2 years experience in a related role

• Experience using ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.●

• Proficient in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong organisational and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Openness to working in an international environment

Technical Skills:

• Experience using an ERP system, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Navision and Business Central.

• Proven experience in accounts payable and payroll support.

• Understanding of (or willingness to learn) local tax, labour, and payroll regulations relevant to the region.

• Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees management, and external agencies to maximize performance, problem-solving and results
