About the Role
We're looking for a commercially minded Finance Business Partner to join our finance team and play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making across the business.
This is a high-profile partnering role that combines financial insight, commercial challenge, and strategic planning. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders to understand performance, evaluate investment opportunities, support planning cycles, and provide financial guidance that helps drive sustainable growth.
The successful candidate will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, translating complex information into meaningful insights and helping leaders make informed business decisions.

What You'll Be Doing
Business Partnering & Commercial Insight
- Partner with senior leaders to support decision-making and deliver commercial insights.
- Challenge assumptions and provide financial guidance on investments, initiatives, and business plans.
- Translate operational and commercial performance into clear financial outcomes.
- Support stakeholders in understanding opportunities, risks, and performance drivers.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning activities.
- Develop business cases, scenario models, and investment appraisals.
- Provide analysis on performance trends and support strategic planning discussions.
- Work closely with FP&A and wider finance teams to ensure aligned and consistent reporting.
- Monitor financial performance, identifying key risks and opportunities.
- Support cost management, budget ownership, and financial accountability across the business.
- Deliver meaningful reporting, dashboards, and performance insights.
- Help drive continuous improvement in financial processes and reporting.
- Assess investment opportunities and support business case development.
- Evaluate financial returns, risks, and commercial viability.
- Track benefits realisation and provide ongoing challenge to ensure value is delivered.
- Support major strategic initiatives and transformation programmes where required.
Essential
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Strong experience in a commercial finance, finance business partnering, or FP&A role.
- Excellent financial modelling, analysis, and commercial acumen.
- Ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly.
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial data.
- Experience within technology, software, engineering, or project-based businesses.
- Knowledge of business case development and investment appraisal techniques (ROI, NPV, payback analysis).
- Experience using Power BI or similar reporting tools.
- Exposure to strategic projects or transformation programmes.
