Finance Executive – Growth & Automation Role

Summary:

Join our Kuala Lumpur-based SaaS team as a pivotal Finance Executive driving growth through automation and precision bookkeeping. Reporting directly to the COO, you will own end-to-end financial operations for an expanding subscription business. This immediate-start role offers unique transparency: your optimizations in Xero or Bukku directly enhance company valuation under the Founder's guidance. You will lead the migration from legacy systems to AI-driven workflows while ensuring full LHDN compliance before our external accountant files year-end returns on Jan 15th.

What you'll do:

• Manage daily bookkeeping, including invoice issuance (subscriptions, pilots), collections chasing via MyInvois, and expense claims.

• Prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and product-level P&Ls for independent review by the COO.

• Execute payroll runs and statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS) with full SST compliance support.

• Track recurring revenue and vendor costs; assist in pricing strategies for client proposals and pilots.

• Design a migration path from legacy systems to introduce our first AI finance agents for automated expense tracking.

What you bring:

1. Diploma or degree in Accounting/Finance with 2–4 years of experience, preferably in an SME, startup, or tech environment.

2. Proficiency in Xero, Bukku, SQL Account, or similar cloud accounting platforms.

3. Strong working knowledge of Malaysian tax laws (LHDN), MyInvois e-invoicing requirements, and statutory payroll regulations.

4. Ability to work independently with minimal oversight, comfortable presenting financial data directly to leadership.

5. Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia for seamless internal communication.

6. High comfort level with Excel/P&L modeling (candidates must pass a practical test during the interview process).

Nice to have:

Experience specifically with SaaS subscription billing cycles, recurring revenue recognition models, or familiarity with emerging AI finance tools.

Working arrangement:

Hybrid schedule based in KL CBD: 3 days office / 2 days remote. Immediate start required to assist in closing Q4 books by Dec 20th. No Employment Pass needed; we prioritize local talent familiar with Malaysian regulations.

Package:
