About the role
When emagine welcomes a new company into the Group, finance is where integration becomes real. You'll work side by side with the acquired finance team. You'll help where it's needed, learn how the business really runs, and give Group Finance a clear view of risks, capacity and readiness.
You're the bridge in both directions. You explain what Group needs and why. You also make sure Group's plans reflect what the local team can deliver.
Between acquisitions, you'll support M&A, finance improvement and problem-solving projects across Group Finance.
What you'll do
Embed early: work with the local team to understand their accounting setup, close process, systems and workload.
Support hands-on: help with Group requests, reconciliations and historical balance analysis. Dig into the detail when it unblocks the integration.
Translate and prioritize: turn Group requirements into clear actions, bring local constraints back to Group, and flag material risks early.
Build trust: become a credible, familiar Group Finance contact through regular on-site work.
Share what you learn: document findings and handover knowledge, and feed lessons into the next acquisition.
Who you are
You have solid experience in accounting, financial controlling, audit or a similar finance role.
You know GL accounting, balance sheets, month-end close and reconciliations well.
You're comfortable with ERP systems and Excel, and you pick up new systems quickly.
You've worked across teams, entities or countries, and with people at all levels.
M&A, integration or due diligence experience is a plus, but not required.
You also bring:
Independent judgement, and the courage to challenge constructively
Curiosity, and no fear of asking basic questions
A hands-on, low-ego approach
Pragmatism, so you can tell real blockers from things that can wait
Comfort with ambiguity and different cultures
Clear communication with local and Group colleagues
How the role works
Travel is around 20-30%. During integrations, on-site periods can last several weeks, with time at home in between.
This role supports the local team. It isn't a temporary GL accountant role, and it doesn't replace financial due diligence.
You work with Group specialists in ERP, tax, treasury and reporting. They keep ownership of their areas.
What success looks like
Risks are found early, not late.
Group decisions reflect the acquired company's real situation.
The local team finds Group Finance practical and easy to work with.
Knowledge is handed over, and every integration improves the next.
