Finance Intern

About the role As our Finance Intern, you will join our Eindhoven-based finance team and gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of finance. This is a broad, dynamic role where you will support both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, while also contributing to reporting and ongoing improvement initiatives. You will work closely with the finance team on day-to-day operations while also helping us identify opportunities to improve processes, automate workflows, and enhance data-driven decision making. You will actively contribute to our ambition to automate finance processes and scale our operations without increasing manual workload. Responsibilities Core Finance Process purchase invoices and support approval workflows Support employee expense processing Assist in preparing supplier payments Help create and send customer invoices and follow up on outstanding receivables Support reconciliation of bank transactions and financial records Reporting & Analysis Support monthly reporting and basic financial analysis Assist with data preparation for management reporting Help monitor key financial and operational KPIs Process Improvement & Automation Identify inefficiencies in finance processes and suggest improvements Support automation initiatives (e.g. tooling, workflows, AI applications) Assist in improving documentation and standardisation of processes General Support Support the team during month-end closing activities Assist on ad-hoc finance projects (e.g. systems, audit preparation) Currently studying Finance or Accounting Strong attention to detail and a structured way of working Proactive mindset and eagerness to learn Strong communication skills in English Comfortable working with Excel; interest in systems/automation is a plus Reliable, accurate, and able to handle confidential information What we offer A unique opportunity to gain broad, hands-on finance experience Exposure to international finance operations Opportunity to work on automation and process improvement initiatives A fun and collaborative working environment in the heart of Eindhoven Flexibility to work partly remote Why this role is interesting Unlike a standard finance internship, this role gives you exposure to: Full finance flow (AP + AR + reporting) Process improvement and automation Real business impact from day one
