Your Role at Cabot

Cabot’s Port Jérôme plant in Normandy, France, is part of a global manufacturing network and produces carbon black, serving a wide range of industrial applications.

We are currently looking for an Accounting & Finance Manager to join the Port Jérôme Leadership Team.

In this role, you will be responsible for the site’s financial management, including financial reporting, planning, and compliance activities. You will work closely with the Shared Services Center based in Latvia and the site's operational teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting, in line with Cabot’s global standards and applicable accounting principles.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Lead all accounting and financial reporting activities for the Port Jérôme site, in close collaboration with the Shared Services Center team.
• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Prepare statutory accounts, tax returns, and VAT filings in compliance with French regulations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements while maintaining a robust internal control environment (SOX – Sarbanes-Oxley).
• Lead the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting cycles, working closely with finance teams and operational leaders to align financial plans with strategic objectives.
• Prepare transfer pricing documentation (Local File) with the support of external consultants.
• Manage relationships with the Statutory Auditor and the French tax authorities.
• Act as a business partner to the Port Jérôme Site Director and Leadership Team, providing data-driven financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Support EMEA and global functions with process digitalization and innovation initiatives.

What You Will Bring to Cabot

• A master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; a professional accounting qualification such as the DSCG would be an advantage.
• At least 7 years of professional experience in finance (accounting, controlling, and/or financial audit), ideally gained in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of French accounting standards and good knowledge of US GAAP.
• Strong understanding of local requirements relating to accounting, taxation, and statutory reporting.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with the ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to connect financial insights to the broader business strategy.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in French and English.
• The ability to make sound decisions and take initiative in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

Annual salary of €62,000 to €85,000. The final salary offer will depend on the candidate’s previous experience and qualifications.​ – Full-time permanent contract
