What We Can Achieve Together:
As the Finance Manager, MN/ND/SD, you will serve as an experienced finance leader for a finance pod supporting the Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota business unit by independently managing complex financial activities, supporting decision-making through analysis and insight, and ensuring the integrity, and compliance of financial data, processes, and controls.. You will work in collaboration with the division finance team to provide highly specialized finance/accounting-related services to a Pod. You will support implementation of financial strategy and execution of financial management activities, and partner with business unit staff to deliver strategic financial guidance and execute key financial processes. This includes: providing advanced financial planning, reporting, analysis, compliance and operational finance support for MNDK.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, financial close, pledge reviews, lease certifications, and related financial management activities for a Pod.
• Provide financial analysis, reporting, modeling and decision support insights to inform planning, resource allocation and operational decision-making.
• Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and effective administration of financial data, systems, processes and internal controls.
• Support implementation of financial strategies, operational improvements, organizational initiatives, and finance process enhancements.
• Approve of accounts receivable and accounts payable, providing the accounting specialist in the Ops & Enablement assistance as needed.
• Support management and tracking of private awards in partnership with the philanthropy team and supports the Reporting / Awards Specialist as needed.
• Execute and supports the delivery of finance services across the pod, coordinating with Ops & Enablement, Contracts, Reporting/Awards, and enterprise finance teams.
• Monitor compliance with TNC policies, financial controls, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements; identifies and escalates potential issues.
• Administer or support specialized finance processes, programs, projects, funding portfolios, contracts, or operational activities relevant to assigned areas of responsibility.
• Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues and stakeholders and may coordinate work or training for other finance staff.
This is a remote position located within in the Great Plains Division (Arkansas, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Oklahoma, and Texas) with a strong preference for residents of Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.

What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field and 4 years' related experience or equivalent combination.
- Experience in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, analysis, and translating financial information into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Experience analyzing complex financial information, identifying risks and opportunities, developing solutions, and supporting strategic decision-making.
- Experience in manipulating, analyzing and interpreting data. Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel.
- Technical experience with non-profit accounting and grants award accounting issues.
- Experience, coursework or other training with U.S. Federal Uniform Guidance, state and local regulations, fund accounting principles, and standard contract clauses, as applicable.
Salary Information:
The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $61,000- $95,000. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate’s actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
